    I already bought this bag two months ago but haven’t used it because it is too big for one day walking around the city. My body is just 5’6”. I don’t think it is comfortable for EDC in “my size”. I think it is good for 2-3-day trip. I just found the fraction is quite good when you have only one or two small cameras. It is small and fits with my body. Anyway, I love your reviews keep doing. Thanks for the great reviews !

    Mission Workshop Reviews thoughts on integer vs Rhake for edc? If you are switching up, why; because you were psyched over the Rhake. My ask is because I’ve thought about getting the Rhake, but the integer seems to be a bit more versatile. So, trying to figure out what they are solving aside from being able to transport photography equipment.

  • @MissionWorkshopReviews

    @@michaelbarlett3400 Ok so here's the deal--the Rhake is a tad small/constricted for my uses all the time. The fact of the matter is my actual favorite bags are the Field Packs (R6/R8). It's a long explanation, but I love how the slide on Arkiv pockets allow for more gear hauling without impacting the main cargo area of the bag (i.e. no push in effect). But alas, the Field Packs do not have an integrated laptop sleeve (I am not a big fan of the Arkiv laptop accessory). So, the Interger allows me to pack more stuff in it, like a few pairs of clothes (I sleep at the girlfriend's a few nights a week) and also more room for groceries (I usually hit the store after work so need space to toss stuff in). The Interger does have some features that I just do not use, whereas the Rhake is totally utilized by me. I am basically using the Interger as a mini-Radian, a bag I truly love except for its size (too big for EDC) and lack of front zippered pocket, which the Interger thankfully has. I do however like the smallness of the Rhake and its ability to compress down when empty (I take the subway to work). it is also is a cleaner, less busy bag over all compared to the Interger. If you can only get one bag, and need a bag for sleepovers/work trips which lets you pack flat, plus slightly larger than 20L, I'd cautiously recommend the Interger even though you probably would never use the tripod holder (although I have found that useful for a fishing pole and my detachable bicycle fender)

    Thanks for the review. Great to see you use it beyond the camera intention. I love how you compared it to a mini-radian - that makes a lot of sense. I've been using my rhake as my main travel bag (multiple week trips, even one to europe!), however I wish it was a tad bigger. I was thinking the integer would be perfect due to the clamshell / arkiv rails. Unfortunately, the integer seems to be a similar size to the rhake so I'm not sure it would be much different than my current setup.

    Hi, do you have packing cubes? Perhaps the ones made by Peak Design? It would be interesting to see how much more of the standard unit packing cubes you can fit in Sanction, Rhake, Integer. Based on the spec sheet they are similar in capacity but the Integer does feel substantially bigger (with camera insert removed of course). Thank you!

    Thank you for the review. I just subscribed. I'm looking for an EDC bag that I can also use as a daypack for travel, and when I travel I often wear my pack walking around for 12 hours a day. Do you know how much the integer weighs without the camera cube? I've downsized my camera gear to a Fujifilm XT30 with one small prime and one small zoom. So the cube is way overkill for me, but I like the side and clamshell access of the integer. One reason for downsizing camera gear is that I'm tired of lugging around so much weight. 3.5 pounds for an empty bag is around my limit. Thanks.

  • @MissionWorkshopReviews

    Eric Williams thanks for the subscription. We appreciate it! So I went to the website to see the weight specs but they curiously weren’t listed. So I’ll try to answer your question the best I can: the internal divider is not some flimsy insert. It’s quite sturdy. So I think removing it would give you a noticeable weight savings-no more than 1lbs though. I love the Integer and I’m not even a photographer. It’s basically a smaller Radian which is perfect for 3 day weekends so I can pack flat and still have a day bag that’s not as large as the Radian. For comparison the Radian is 4.6 lbs and almost double the size of the Integer. Hope this helps!

  • @en2ec

    @en2ec

    @@MissionWorkshopReviews Thanks for the reply. That does help. If the Radian is 4.6 lb, the Integer must be less than 3.5 without the camera cube.

    Ok, here is my little review. As a camera guy, and owner of The Rhake, Capsule and this bag, I'm going to say that this is most disappointing bag from all of them. Don't get me wrong: it's not bad, I just expected more. And if you're camera guy and love to travel with single bag - this is not for you. As it wasn't for me. The Rhake works much better in this role. Somehow I can fit all my clothes, three primes and sony camera into The Rhake. And when I'm trying to use this bag I cant fit enough clothes for the week, and there is no point in fitting more glass, cause you won't be able to carry it on board of the plane. Moreover, if you going to re-arrange camera space in such a way that you can use side-flap to get it out, you will mess-up internal structure and it won't be rigid anymore, plus it's really pain int the ass to fit lenses this way. So, this bag is bigger, heavier, you won't be able to use all camera space efficiently and there's not enough space for your clothes. And with The Rhake you just dump all your clothes on the bottom, camera and lenses on the top and you're good to go. And if you need extra lenses - just get The Capsule, it is small enough that most airlines won't have problems with you carrying it on board. At least here in Russia and Europe. It is not ideal. And I really want The Integer to be answer for my problems. But it's just isn't. On the other hand, I really like to use it when I travel locally on bicycle, motorbike or just on foot. I can fit all my gear and tripod and it's really handy (although, I will repeat, there is no way you can re-arrange camera space to use side-flap and not mess everything up, it is also looses rigidity). Verdict: if you're single-backpack travelling camera person it is not for you. Get yourself The Rhake and The Capsule.

  • @jnns7243

    @jnns7243

    5 жыл бұрын

    I have a hard time understanding what you mean with "rearrange camera space to use side flap". The camera insert allows you to access your camera from the side, doesn't it? You recommend the Rhake + Capsule as s better suited alternative but what are the benefits? The capsule seems to take up more space than the Integer's insert and the Rhake is also a little bit smaller than the Integer. On top of that, the Rhake has no side access.

  • @mynameisdaniil

    @mynameisdaniil

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@jnns7243 No, it doesn't allow that by default. As from the factory it's configured to be loaded from the top. Internal dividers go from top to bottom. And if you re-arrange them horizontally (to load camera from the side), you will loose rigidity and everything you will put into the top section will compress camera section. For single-backpack travel Rhake alone is better, and if you need more than few lenses, Capsule is nice to have. You just carry it in your hands until you get to the hotel, than you can unload your clothes and put Capsule into the Rhake. There isn't enough space in Integer to carry enough clothes for the week. And it's bulkier and heavier than the Rhake.

  • @MissionWorkshopReviews

    @MissionWorkshopReviews

    5 жыл бұрын

    First off, thanks for the spelling correction. My thumbnail is wrong too! Yikes. As for best EDC--gosh, it's a tough call. I personally use the Rhake. Its smaller and cinches down flatter which is great for me since I travel by subway a lot. However, the Integer is bigger and allows for Arkiv attachments. I suppose I am not telling you something you do not already know. The Integer costs more, so I would justify the cost if some of the following apply to you; 1) you use cameras; 2) you tend to do overnights/travel so the clamshell design which allows you to pack flat would be very useful; you tend to carry things that need to be separated, for example I like to go camping and fishing and the Integer accidentally has become an awesome outdoors bag for me. I pack my clothes in the bottom, with access via the clamshell, and I use the internal separator to keep my tackle box and other bait away from my clothes, Best of all, the tripod holder makes for an awesome fishing pole holder so I can hike with my pole hands free; 3) your carry needs change often and would use the Arkiv accessories. 4) you need a bigger bag then the Rhake, but not as big as the Radian. Again, I use the Rhake because the smaller size is actually a benefit for me, but the Integer certainly can be an EDC if you can justify the cost as a non-camera user.

I personally do not use the bag as a camera bag, and I wanted people to know it had many uses. Likewise, I tired to do my best to show its camera holding capabilities since many would indeed want this for a camera bag. In a perfect world, I would have had a friend who is into cameras and consulted them. But alas, I hope this review helps some people out at least.
