I just accidentally learned why the word for apple in Dutch actually makes sense. The Dutch word is sinaasappel. Though they call the color orange oranje. I thought that was weird and hadn't investigated it yet. So thanks for the help!

Fun fact: every time you watch a Vsauce video over again, you learn something new.

Logarithmic scales like the pH, decibel and absolute magnitude scales are only logarithmic when going down. For example, as pH values get lower, their H+ concentration increases exponentially. The further you go up the scale, things get bigger at an increasing rate, ie exponentially.
