There is something incredibly sad about hearing 14yo Anastasia Nikolaevna, who took goofy pictures of herself and sent them to friends, then hearing how she was executed in a revolution. If you read it in a history book, you would have no feeling. I used to be upset that he switched to shorts. He was my favorite teacher as a ADHD riddled kid in middle school. He made learning fun for a kid who didnt like to learn in school. I've since realized all he did was switch to a medium that would reach the most amount of children. Children who are the age I was when I started watching him. Im an adult now, almost 23, ive been watching him for almost 12 years. Hes done teaching me and people like me in the way we knew him best for. Its the new generations turn. Im no longer upset that he switched to shorts. Thank you Michael for being an indefatigable teacher of the youth 💚

When you trust in God and cast your cares (worries, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts) upon him, they will be NO MORE! Know that there is power in the name Jesus Christ! I am living proof of God's work and fruitfulness! He is an active God who hears the prayers of his! God's children are set apart (holy) and righteous. The devil is a liar that comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy; that includes your relationship with God. Open your heart to God, repent of your sins (he will forgive you), and let him direct your path. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Art in the Amarna period (when Akhenaten was pharaoh and Bek was chief sculptor) was weird. If you look at carvings of Akhenaten, you'll see a lot of the same sort of "dumpy potato boy" imagery. Though Akhenaten tended to have thinner arms and legs, he still had the belly. Bek refers to himself on a carving as ""the apprentice whom His Majesty taught". In my archaeology studies, my professor indicated that the implication is that the Pharaoh demanded a more naturalistic style than was common in Egyptian art up to this point. You can still see a bit of the belly on Tutankhamen's sculptures, and he's the pharaoh that followed Akhenaten. Whether this is a stylistic issue or a more realistic image of the pharaoh is up for debate, given that Tutankhamen was quite young and would be unlikely to have developed a paunchy belly yet. It's also worth noting that the plump men with more idealistic women is fairly common. You'll still see a bit of poochy belly on carvings of women from this time, sometimes (see full-bodied sculptures of Nefertiti) but they still tend to be rather slender and idealized. Again, there's the question of whether this is a stylistic choice or reflection of reality.

As a person who was in school in the '90's and quite heavily taking photographs (sorry, no selfies on my end, but everything else). It was awesome to learn how to develop my negatives into actual photos, back when I had a photography class in school. I wish that same class was still offered. Tho I really appreciate all of the conveniences of modern tech (ie. I started out back in '93 when it was just started and have always been heavily into it). There's always been an appreciation to taking photos on a 35mm (and older) and also being able to develop negatives upon paper in a dark room. Each experience is very different and it's definitely a learning experience that should be shown to all people regardless of age.
