i just remembered how i love the soundtrack

2020 squad, still lovin the game Catalyst is too dynamic, almost as if Faith had superpowers. Old Faith also moves quickly but in a very rigid manner ; as if she has to drag her legs along when jumping over some obstacles. You can FEEL how big of a burden her body is for her. She also often loses all of her momentum - very humane.

Apparently this map shows Faith's dreams. It's wonderful that you made it in only 16 - 20 hours. Usually it takes a lot more time to create a decent map for a modern game. +: It has its own original style instead of imitating the DLC. The hardest jumps are early, and then it's easier, so there's no reason to worry if you advanced far. -: Low replay value because of the absolute linearity. Overall it is very enjoyable and leaves a good impression, so it's definitely worth playing.

This makes me wish I had a PC that could run this! Good job!

Mirrors edge theme song is so beautiful!

I remembered watching this years ago. What a nostalgia!

I don't care if this is the theme song, it's the most ill-fitting music this person could ever have put in this video.

I dunno. The Portal gun looks quite lightweight and Faith could always put a sling on it like a firearm so she can put it behind her back when she has to do some more complicated jumps.

Its like a Agility course on Runescape, you go through a crazy parkour course only to end up exactly where you started

This game should have workshop support! Even now this is one of my favorite games!

great map! although some parts of it were kind of slow (like when you had to shimmy on the ledge) I kind of wish someone would make a cool escape the room map where the way out was really discreet and hard to figure out

imagine you are lost in a desert, then you look up and see a floating construction and 5 runners racing with each other

That was a really good map. And it loops so you can get good at it. I would get this map if i had pc xbox

@champayne17 I think the advantage of a city based map is that the optimal path is not clearly laid out to you. This is the first custom map of Mirror's Edge I've ever seen, but I can instantly tell that all the top times would be rather close because there's really no variation in path. City maps are a little more ambiguous and take a little more thought to get a really good time.

@Fatalerror300 Because it takes ages to create outdoors or inside, and there's so few people who actually play Custom maps.

@YxtreaM unrealed its a map editor for UT3 engine, that were mirrors edge runs on, on some forums you can find a way to get it to work

But Faith already pulls off some insane moves on her own. Imagine the insanity she could unleash with a Portal gun in her hands!

There is ledge you can grab on, but it's very hard to see it.

EA should realease an original level editor for the game... the game has a great potential outside the main story!

I feel kind of sorry for poor old Faith. Had to go through all that shit with Jacknife and save her sister and now she has to spend her days trapped in random pocket dimensions created by modders and the DICE dlc team untill they get round to making Mirror's Edge 2. I wouldn't mind it if they put her in the next Portal game however. Faith + a Portal gun would be pure winsauce amirite?

can anyone tell me why after the first jump it always slows me down to walking speed and flashes failed on screen??? its not coming up on other maps just this one :S

@Fatalerror300 What's so bad about making an original theme? Lots of people made city-themed maps, and this is one of the few maps with an original theme.

@Fatalerror300 hey, i am woprking on more than one outdoor map ;) they would be perfect but shadows dont work for me. so if i ever figure out how to get them to work ill release them, they arent anything like this, they're more realistic :D

Did you have to do anything to get the swing poles working? When ever I use them I can't grab & swing, only vault over 'em.

Extract and follow the instructions, then start the campaign. Once the loading is done, press "F1" on your keyboard.

hey dude, i know you probably haven't done any maps in a while, but would it be possible to use custom sound clips in a map. like Merc telling you "Don't jump faith, i don't see anything below you" if i were to make my own sound clip? i was thinking about making maps that take place before the actual game.

@Kampelapaa Well unfortunately I don't have Windrunner map anymore after I got my new PC. Fucking Mediafire for deleting file without warning first. Whoever has my map is free to publish anywhere.
