Very Nice Mini Bud. I grew up South Wales @ just 14 Building Minis then @ just 18 had a 1275GT [Should have kept Her]. Now i;m 50 I;m really thinking of getting another Mini because the Engineering/Materials PARTS have Come a Long way. I prefer the Clubman Front because there;s soo much more room, Especially doing a Twin-Cam.

I totally agree. I much prefer the clubman front too. Have always loved the shape. I always thought that the clubman front looked very Ford like, then I learned that an ex ford Designer, designed the clubman front. You should definitely get another one 👍

Thanks Bernard. It’s hard to put an exact price on it but if you already have an A series engine and you could pick up a k head and ancillaries for £400-£500 then you could use most of the bike parts. You then need the conversion kit which I think is around £750 ish, but you could make these items if you have the skills and tools. The pistons would need pocketed for valve clearance and block re drilled to accept head, but again these are things you might be able to do yourself. If you have the skills, you could do it for under £1000 but if you need to buy most of the parts, your probably looking at more like £2000 for a basic set up utilising a lot of the bike parts

@@bernardwarr4187 Anywhere from 130 BHP for a standard 16v head on a standard 1275 block, up to 200+ BHP for the heavily modified and supercharged / Turbocharged alternatives. You could reach 300bhp if you had the intention and money to throw at it

Great video, what sort of HP can you get with the mini block on that setup?

Hello Tony, there’s guys who have got over 300 BHP with this set up but obviously the difficulty is making the gearbox stand up to such figures. Gearbox is the weak link on any high power A Series

So what did you change the cam lift to then?

0.8mm of lift at TDC as per specialist components recommendations for forced induction. It was set at 2mm which is right for a naturally aspirated set up.
