    It’s stunning and I’m so jealous right now having sold my mk1 escort 2 years ago to fund my car trading business 😢I never ever forget the day it left on the back of the trailer. But we have to keep on moving forward in life we never know what tomorrow brings. And since then I have bought a few more classic toys that I do plan on getting started on very soon. Keep on with the projects.

    I couldn't have put it better myself, You hit the nail on the head when you talked about the pride you feel in achieving your goals. I have to admit taking a wreck of a vehicle and turning it into a better than original car is a magical feeling. If you get a chance please take a look at my E Type Jaguar and XK 150 builds plus I have a few Minis. The Escort is simply stunning and it‘s a great credit to your Skill & Patiences. Cheers Dave

    Great video Craig, I'm overdue a motivation boost and this video was it! The worst part is when you've finished metalwork by which time all the parts have been in boxes for many months, or years lol, and the thought of digging everything out and doing a dry build before paint is soul destroying, especially knowing you'll have to do it all over again after paint.

  • @performanceclassics1986

    @performanceclassics1986

    Жыл бұрын

    Hello Neal, I basically used the original screw in fitting and chopped off the original nut fitting, removed the internal tube and filter, drilled out the outlet hole to around 13mm then silver soldered an M18 fine pitch 1.5mm nut onto the original screw in fitting to accept a banjo type fitting that produces much better flow. Hope that all makes sense. Motorsport tools now produce and sell something similar for a better flow output from the tank.

    @@nealthomas5943 sorry yeah, I miss read your message. For the return I just mig welded a steel 8mm hose barb fitting into the top of the tank in a location that had plenty of room but was out of sight. Basically chop the treads off the hose barb, sit it flush onto the tank surface, mig weld all the way around and then drill through the center of the hose barb and through into the tank. Seams to work really well Neal
