Miner's Graffiti Mania!
I return to this mine in hopes of connecting to another inclined shaft, but I couldn't find where the two mines connect. So instead I thoroughly explored the 300 and 400 levels of this mine and found a bunch of miner's graffiti and artifacts! I plan to return sometime in the near future to finish this mine and the other so stay tuned..

For our sake, we would really hope you would install the "Buddy System" when you go on your adventures.. Always enjoy your videos and want to see you safely return from 400 feet down in the mine. Be good... and thanks 👍👍

Yes no one should in the old mines by themselves
I worked in that mine back in 1947. Don't miss it!

If this is true, someone should interview you. It would be interesting to hear your story.

Hi Jerith that item at 13:14 is actually called a "Sawhorse" it was used to put pieces of wood on so you could cut them with a saw. So many artefacts left in this mine which is very cool to see, the graffiti was really interesting too. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx💞

My dad has 4 of those in his backyard
The part I found the most humanizing were the worn ladder rungs. The thousands of times , tens of thousands of times it would of taken miners to wear them down.. that’s touching history.
Lots of exploring and great artists work the cowboy or miner on the horse wow horse looked like it was taking a dump on a rat?? The track along the curve like a u are horse shoe was impressive as more .⛏️🏆🤔 Thank you for the great explore ❤️🎩
awesome vid as always but please take a buddy with you next time...
those miners must have been some very hard workers
It must be part of the smoking ritual, crush the cans when they're empty. Good explore, all kinds of stuff to see, Thanks!
Another fantastic explore Jerith! Felt like we were right there with you. Fantastic artifacts! The one group of graffiti reminded me of branding symbols for ranches. If I remember you thought they were possibly Greek letters, which they could also be. Unbelievable amount of graffiti! WOW! Loved them all. Makes you wonder what happened to that individual. Great job and thanks for taking us along with you.
@the 24:21 min mark in video on the Hercules powder box the i.c.c-23f65 is February 23, 1965 when the box was packed.
Be cool to find an intact dynamite box
Great video. There were so many artifacts in that many.
I enjoyed going along with you on this adventure. This mine sure has a lot of artifacts and workings. It's awesome 👍🏻
Great video! I appreciate the respect that you show for all the artifacts in the mines
As always I'm impressed with your mining knowledge and you're well spoken narration. You correctly identified the HA glass-bottle as Hazel Atlas. Btw this mine is open to the public in the black diamond mining located near Concord in the North Bay Area.
That 4 legged thing was a sawhorse
I echo the idea of a buddy system. I’m not volunteering nor would you want the liability of me coming with you. I broke my shoulder, wrist, and femur last year in 3 separate incidences. The wrist and femur required surgery. The femur, I’m still healing from 3 months later. That will show you down! The flip side, you get to binge watch mine explorations.
symbols @17:06 are brands from ranches, they would use these symbols to mark their cattle to tell them apart
Very cool video. That mine is enormous!
The 4 legged bench was a saw horse, usually you would use 2 together. Toots is what they called girls back then. Endless mine! 5 hours?? yikes!
Love the old graffiti
dude i saw a really big piece of gold when you was going do the first shafr when you was shining the lite
always great videos==you are very brave,i would be worried about the monsters and ghost,, do you ever hear any ghost or monsters while you are out in the deserts and those caves
Another great explore
At 17:06 those look like cattle brands.
Does utilizing the right hand rule eliminate the possibility of getting lost? Also, I believe you are a brave soul for exploring solo. Loved the video! And, Thank you!, for taking us on your mine explore. ✌️😲✌️
Beyond cool!
Just letting you know that you got a shout-out from Gly Coolness from Abandoned and Forgotten Places this weekend, who also does old mines. He's a cool dude. I enjoy all the videos as always. Be safe.

Thanks, yeah I seen! Pretty cool that he did that. I've watched a good number of his videos his vodeography style is unmatched. Thanks for watching as always!
That was a Saul horse
That’s a little saw horse.
At 9:48 that is an old half n half tobacco tin
I discovered your channel about a month ago, maybe less, and have been watching all your videos. I’m about halfway through. I am enjoying them very much, I do have a couple questions. Do you explore these vines by yourself? I know sometimes you have one or more people with you, but many of your videos Indicate you are going solo. My second question is how do you keep getting lost?
13:00...that's a "sawhorse" Dave, Google it.
wow!
Wish you would have checked out what was in the bags🤔😊
$1.5m over 3 years doesn't seem like much for that amount of work
🤠👍
I think you ended in the 350 level the last time.
Saw horse
28:58 Can you DATE that drill bit?
Any gold🤣

Nope, not that I seen! There's definitely some to be found if you're looking for it though.
I admire your interest and intrigue but man you are really taking chances that are over the line if anything happens. Twist your knee, cut your hand, your lights go out and so on. I never even said anything about a ladder 🪜 giving out, rock 🪨 coming loose and blocks your way or you even drop down into natural gas and you can't breathe? We don't want you to be a canary 🐦 in a mine. Love your stuff, just be careful.
Thanks for risking your neck 🧣 so others do not (frankly you went WAY further than I ever would have)
