@@VanillaTweaks here’s a cool idea, I don’t know if you can add it but I would(I’m sure others would to) like to see connected textures with stuff like grass, podzol, mycelium, path, sand, and gravel. Also with stone bricks, stone, mossy bricks, andesite, granite, diorite, cobblestone, deepslate, and tuff. Also wood planks and other stuff like that, other texture packs that add that have their own textures and I would just want it in vanilla. I really love all your guys work, keep up the good work!!

Lol years ago I tracked down some of the old sounds and put them into a resource pack. I've been playing with the old TNT, door, projectile, and damage sounds for a few years at this point. Very fun 10/10 would recommend

For the amethyst crystals, they could add a sparkling partical effect for the fully grown ones for people who don't want a giant green "!" floating above the block. It's a bit jarring. They could also invert the texture of the budding blocks, or make the cracks darker, for the same reason.

Yeah, that and the similar one for fully grown crops bother me. I like having some indicator, but a big exclamation point is just bad-looking.

@@VulpisFoxfire I liked the old growth where you wouldn't see the actual vegetable coming out of the ground until it was ready. They could do that. Or, if they want to be more unique, they could have small purple flowers on the potatoes, stalks on the beets, as for the carrots, I think they're pretty easy to tell (as are the other plants.)

@@timwoods2852 The one I usually have the most problems with is wheat..they *used* to have the indicator of the final stage having a little dark tip, but now it's hard to tell the diffference from the final stage and the next-to-last one.

for the longest time Vanilla tweaks is a must for me, even if i use other resource on top, VT complements with the 3d models and such, i was actually still using the 1.17 resourcepack on 1.18 and most things looked like they were working but its always better to update to make sure :D PS: X, i noticed in the past that 3d vines can cause major fps issues when you are near a jungle, idk if this is known by the vanilla tweaks team or not, just thought it would be good to share, probably because of the ridiculous amonts of poligons that need to be rendered since vines are everywhere in the jungle biome

omg, the intelligent selection of hybrid packs is something I've been waiting for! thank you to the VT team for adding this!

I love the 3D dripstone so much and made a base themed around dripstone with it everywhere but it started lagging so I sadly had to resort to the slightly less laggy original model.

I really appreciate how fast the tweaks were updated for 1.18. It was available day one of 1.18

@@404-Error-Not-Found most mods can easily update to 1.18 since 95% of the changes in this update are world-gen related. pretty much all of the big internal changes were done all the way back in 1.17

The wavy leafs/water shaders are so good. Been using it all thrue 1.17 It's just a shame that optifine has problem with the water texture and shows the edge as a line. Works perfect in vanilla though.

@@pesegolsson There are Fabric alternatives for almost all of the optifine resource pack related functions that are compatible with Sodium (and can work alone too), so you can try Sodium if you want, without worrying about losing the cool resource pack functions

Glowing ores would be a really cool thing to add considering the caves in 1.18

May i suggest to bring the retro textures of skulls too? When they used to be 2D instead of 3D?

Another change I noticed is that Cleaner Redstone Dust and Redstone Power Levels items don't conflict anymore on the site. Same goes for Glass Doors/Trapdoors and 3D Doors/Trapdoors.

The "aha" from the beginning reminded me of last life southlands crew a lot :D Even a spyglass is there.

Love those Vanilla Tweaks! Always visit when I start a new world in a new version to choose what to tweak. Some cool new additions. Looking forward to trying them out soon.

Crimsoner Crimson Vanilla Tweaks pack needs an update. the Wooden Planks, Slabs, and Staircase keep the default coloring.

Love that you use timestamps/chapters! Make it so much easier to navigate to the one part of the video you wanted to show a friend!

The 3D models pack is amazing. I really like the changes you made to the Chains, Lanterns, and Pointed Dripstone. The Glazed Terracotta pack is also amazing. We need these in vanilla!!!

You know what would be a good data pack to include in this? Adding either night vision or glowing properties to glowberries. These could be used in potions, tipped arrows, or just activate when you eat them. Maybe all of them somehow. I think it'd be good to motivate people to get them.

These are really nice, I was kind of bummed recently because my laptop can't run any shaders (I actually tried all the low-end/toaster ones), but I think it could handle some of these just to give it a little more of a customized feel. Thanks!

It could be cool if they added vanilla tweaks for 1.8.9 That could make pack making much easier+ its a version that most pvpers use

The way you pick the changes you want reminds me of the painterly pack from back in the beta days.

It’s cool how nearly all of the .json files that provide support for unsupported textures also work with 32x textures. I’ve been relying on Vanilla Tweaks quite heavily to develop my own personal edit of Faithful 32x.

I wouldn’t like wavy water & leaves, so I love that you can make your own pack. So useful and cool

Oh I love the 3D dripstone. I've thought dripstone looked kind of odd ever since it was released, and expanding it out into 3D instead of that cross shape that flowers and stuff do makes it so much better.

super cool update! do you think you could add a translucent ui pack (like the dark/transparent uis) with the uis being ~50% opacity?

hey x, I really like vanilla tweaks and have a suggestion: accurate map colors: deepslate and many other blocks are not accurate on maps. This would be an amazing feature

Vanilla tweaks are great. My most favourite of them all are the gold helmet turned into a crown and the more subtle enchantment glint on items.

The video chapter "parity" is misspelt as "Party" Just pointing it out for ya :P

So for your compatibility issue with the Elytra you can use CIT to have multiple textures. This would require Optifine or CITF to see but for people who had that they could use multiple textures just based off the name of the Elytra, I do this a lot in my custom resource packs.

This is great! You're missing the old brick texture in the retro section tho

I hope the "WHAT" meme sypglass overlay is still an option

I feel like Vailla Tweeks could be benefited from the custom item name feature that Optifine packs have. Basically, things like the extra packs could have this that way you can have mutable of them enabled at once or even have the default extra texture as well

OMG finally a wind and waves mod that I can install, been waiting for that for years man Ive been using the vanilla tweaks since the beginning and it so much improves my immersion and little things in MC, especially things like 3D rails and trapdoors, those were monumental for my base. I love the pick all pun, I don't know whose concept that was but they're a genious.

You should add visual enchantments on tools and books (as in a sword with fire aspect will be on fire and the arrows in a flame bow will also be on fire etc).

Nice..I was eagerly awaiting this, if only for the Coordinate HUD datapack. And with these tweaks in combination with Iris + Sodium, with one exception I don't have to wait for Optifine to play catch-up antymore. (That one exception being connected glass. The borderless glass pack on Tweaks is *close*, but not quite. A datapack that handles CTM info in resource packs would be nice).

Vanilla Tweaks is the one thing i didn't know I always needed! this is fantastic!

I did notice that it was a lot better about compatibility than it used to be, but ithere were still a couple of combinations that I wanted that I couldn't get: - lower grass + variated grass etc - smoother stones + double slab fix Still, I appreciate all the work that's been put into compatibility, there were many combinations I did use that I'm pretty sure wouldn't have worked before.

I like how PhoenixSC pointed out the cocoa bean texture flaw and they literally used what he drew :D

Oh golly, you're tempting me. That TNT explosion especially.

The home and sethome changed a little, I updated a world, it still displayed the homes but since it didn't specify that it was in the overworld for some reason, it couldn't teleport to them. I had to delete all of the homes and go to each place and re add them. re adding one without deleting it made it work until I logged back on, so fully deleting first was necessary.

I never realized you could direct download instead of see the add, sneaky but I'll watch them to support you.

This is my first time hearing about Vanilla Tweaks, and I gotta try it out now.

There was a bug in the game for a time which made transparent beacon beams impossible. I had to use a fabric mod for a while to hide them :O
