I do not understand most people's lack of empathy for a soul friend to be left behind. That soul helped you climb the ladder of stardom. Of course you shall find a place for that special friend in your growing success. It is the right thing to do.

Indeed & well said. Charlotte absolutely brought out the best of Jonathan. And the duo worked it out well. I want to see more of this living legend Pavarotti voice from Jonathan. He needs memory skills and once he gets that, the world is his oyster. Same for Charlotte. When he breaks barriers she gains experiences alike. 💖❤️💖❤️💖😇💖❤️💖❤️😇

Jonathan and Charlotte were jaw dropping. Amazing and beautiful. Now that's God given.

I love the fact that Jonathan said they were going to stay as a duo , he’s done things on his own, but he still sings with Charlotte , he’s kept his word

I'm a ROCK guy, but something about an exceptional opera singer like Jonathan is just sends waves of tingles down your back. Charlotte is good, too... just not as stand-out as him. They inevitably had to split, but they were good for and needed each other here to get started. This was a debut I'll never forget.

Can't stand the pair. Lost all respect I had for these two when I found out what they did to the Byker Grove tapes.... just so that their fans of today wouldn't embarrass them. But as child actors they were goof now they are pathetic

The shy young man and the young lady are great.

The Flinstones dog act was just precious. Hard not to be happy when faced with that :)

That young lady dancing with her dog was the sweetest KOOLEST thing I've seen all year. The innocence in that was beautiful and the choreography. Just awesome. VERY WELL DONE. WHAT A SMART GIRL AND BESTIE DOG. MY BESTIE WAS NAMED FRISKY.

I absolutely admire Jonathan...

Ya know...the BEST thing about Simon is that he can TAKE IT as well as dish it out! The women judges get pissed right away and FAIL to see the humor. David is very good at give and take as well! You rule, GUYS!!!!

Man, watching Simon here, and watching Simon now, he has really changed over the years. In a good way. He's really lightened up and mellowed out.

It took him a while, but Jonathan has quite a good career going now. He and Charlotte had to part ways as she is more a show tune singer, and Jonathan is obviously a concert tenor. As good as they were together, after more training she was ready for more, while Jonathan needed more time to find himself. He has some good stuff up on YT.

I loved them too! So glad for the loyalty that had Jonathan saying they'll stay together to perform.

I'm so glad Simon has realized he needs to not judge a book by its cover. He didn't even give this kid a chance at 1st. It was written all over his face. And fir someone who claims to hate bullying....this was a silent way of bullying. These are the years I didn't like Simon so much. But he's come a long way. I think fatherhood softened him. Now he's constructive without hatefulness. He's always on point.

I think Simon was right. 2021: Charlotte's beautiful, married and successful in her own right in the British musical theatre world. Jonathan's voice is 10x better, looks like a billion dollars, has a huge international fan base, now lives in Los Angeles, CA, and he's all over YT. There you'll discover some of his wonderful performances...oops!...musical gems. Yes, he's simply the best and will put a huge smile on your face. And he's still humble. Best wishes & stay safe. I was shocked when I heard them singing. Such beautiful voice, both of them.

Simon found his smile! He was once so snide and abrasive, from that 1st season of Idol on... Impossible to forget someone so naturally unforgiving! Now, a total transformation! His smile is infectious! Often, I enjoy his reaction even more than an act itself!

Americans loved Simon's snide remarks on the Idol....some of those acts were a joke. And some just never were going to be ready for prime time.

Hearing the judges reactions and how they lift up some of these contestants is almost just as amazing as a 12-year-old getting up on a stage in front of thousands of people and knocking it out of the park

Jonathon was fabulously talented. And has a kind heart, too.

For 12yrs old she was really good! 👏🏻

The group at the end of this blog were fabulous - they put fun into why we are all alive and I could feel their enjoyment in sharing their song with us all! Well done guys! Good luck!!!!

We come here as a Duo,....... and were gonna stay here as a Duo. What a standing! And as if its not enough the girl makes that freakin out motion in the audiance. My heart did the same motion that moment! What an adorable Duo!!

They are now International artists. They are simply adorable, together, and apart!

Simon used to judge books from their covers. He is much wiser and more compassionate now.

Jonathan Antoine, now 26 years old, is an amazing artist. Hearing him live in concert is a wonderful experience, cannot wait for his tour being rescheduled for later 2021.

The opera duo are amazing as a duo, it's an amazing combination of voices with her higher pitch and his lower registers. Don't know what Simon is on about!

24:57 Simon just proves to me over and over that he's a big man. Not only that he fixed what he said to the girl, but he also gave the guy a huge boost of confidence. By saying what he said, he insured the girl won't turn on him in the future and only strengthened their relationship.

As for Charlotte and Jonathan? My heart goes out to them both, such a lovely duo, great voices the two of them in their different disciplines and both lovely people in the way they supported each other, Jonathon for sticking with Charlotte and then at the end Charlotte for saying that it was a life changing moment for Jonathon, inferring it may not be for her and that she wouldn’t hold him back and would still support him. Soft souls both of them, I really hope they are both doing well.

American TV takes so much from British TV, when all we really need is Ant and Dec. They raise the level of any show they're on.

The girl and her dog! The mum had no idea what a treasure she was gifting her daughter with on her 11th birthday! What a delightful team!

Not quite, he sings on his own and he still sings with her. He now is worth about 10million and she is worth about 1.5 million so she may not have as high a career as him but she hasn't done badly. Bet she never thought she would make that much money.

She's simply ADORABLE!!!

I watch these shows just to see Simon surprised and when that happens I just beam. Big Hug Simon.
