I remember all the times God manifested Himself in my life. Remembering the sweet presence of Jesus in my life is a constant reminder of how real He is, and I also am fearful of being apart from Him. When I sense myself drifting I come back to the basics because I missed something along the way.

If the foundation of the faith is wobbly and not strong, we will become delusional and leave the faith. The bible says that when we are only hearers of the Word and not doers of the Word, we not only deceives ourselves but also are actually building a house on the sand. When the storms of life appear and hit the house, the house would collapse with a great crash. Secondly, we need to have our minds renewed daily through the reading of God's Word in order that our thought process and our opinions are in line with God's Word. We need to align our mind with the mind of Christ. Thirdly, leaders have been preaching a gospel that is not the gospel of Christ. They preach a gospel that appeals and appease to the flesh but does nothing to build the Spirit. The bible calls these gospel unsound doctrines or "doctrines of demons". Those with itching ears would love to hear such gospel. They are feel good messages that makes listeners feel good about themselves but do not edify the Spirit. It does not build the Spirit man. These believers are building their faith on the wrong gospel. Their are building on a wrong foundation. One day it will shipwreck their faith. We are already living in the last days. The bible says there will be a great falling away of Christians around the world. Christian believers are attacked by the enemy like never before! The Lord is returning!

yeah, i am one of those who walked away from the church, however, not from my faith...the church has gone wild with politics thinking they are pleasing God. I love God and after 4 years of not going to "a church" and just streaming online church from preachers i considered not-MAGA and still biblically tuned with the Kingdom of Heaven, I felt God telling me it's time to go back. It's time to stop the tantrum. Time to forgive and trust and obey me. It's been hard. I've been struggling with relating with other believers I fellowshiped with. It's not the same, but I know it's God's will that we all return, and people who left the church, are returning. We need grace.

The Western Church is very different from many churches around the world, and definitely different from the early church. Many services have become little more than a mini concert followed by a TED talk with three scriptures interjected. There's very little biblical exegesis in a lot of Western churches unfortunately. Many sermons focus primarily on improving the quality of our lives, when Jesus clearly instructed us to take up our cross (die to self) and follow Him. There's definitely some contradictions going on between those two mindsets.

One thing is clear! The bible says in the last days, there will be a great falling away of christian believers! We are living in such times! One of the reason is that the gospel preached is not the gospel that Jesus preached. Leaders are preaching a watered down gospel just to attract the people into the kingdom. Leaders are preaching a different gospel that Jesus preached. These are unsound doctrines that the bible calls "The doctrines of demons". With itching ears, these believers embraces these teachings. Also, many are drawn to feel good messages that they leave the church feeling good about themselves. The message appeals and appeases to their flesh but it doesn't feed the Spirit. So, there is no true transformation of Christ like character. When a false gospel is preached, it will be a false conversation into Christianity; it will be a false repentance; it will be a false transformation; they will become false followers of Christ. They are the goats. They are the tares. Their christian foundation is flawed. Their foundation is built upon the sand not upon the rock. Also, there are many who starts off well but do not end well. These are believers who are genuinely believing in Jesus and have turned away from Him. They are like a dog going back to its vomit. They are like a sow going to the mud and wallow in it again. They have tasted the goodness of God but turn away from Him. How frightful it will be on the day of judgement!!!

I have left the church, not because my faith has changed, but because I've had enough of it being run in a way that is opposite to Jesus. I'm sick of seeing pride over humility, entitlement over compassion for others, standing first in line instead of servant leadership. I'd like to see the fruit of the spirit and godly character instead of the pursuit of power. My faith in God is still growing, but it mourns how far the church has lost its way.

What exactly makes Christianity a religion and not a way of living a life of the Spirit with Christ Jesus, in God, is simply because a religion is observed with many different sets of rules and rituals. Whereas, being just a Believer makes fellowship easy and accessible with God the Father, in the name of Jesus Christ the Son, by the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. Not in or of works of any kind by you, but by simply standing on His finished work of salvation on the cross of Calvary. Ephesians 2:8-9.

Be still and wait on the Lord. If you use your strength or other means to get her back, you might miss why God permitted it- if you're a believer in Christ Jesus, if not, still go to Him and tell it all to Him, asking the Holy Spirit to help. Believe, and you will eventually have the grace to praise Him. Romans 8. It's painful now, and it may continue to be, but if you place your love for God above your love for her, she will stop being an idol in your heart and you will stop hurting. So, dare lift up your hands and praise God as you are now, and not wait until you see the end of your faith, just believe because He loves you and He is Faithful and True. Hebrews 11:1. You cannot love anyone above God! He is a Jealous God. He may bring her back if you show that God is above her.

John said “Those who don’t consciously pursue God will start walking and being pulled away by the world” I think much of this has to do with the fact that 95% of Christian parents send their children to public schools and colleges. We are commanded by God to raise our children in an environment that speaks of the truth of God and proclaims His gospel. We are commanded to disciple our children and talk about the Lord when we get up in the morning, and when we work, when we sit down to eat, when we lie down to rest. (Duet 6) when we send our kids of to spend 8-12 hours of each day being taught everything except the truth of God how do we expect to overcome the lies in the very short time we spend with our children each day. We send our children to be taught by Cesar and are surprised when they come back acting like Romans. The Barna study showed that 80% or more walk away from their faith by the time they finish their freshman year in college. We need to protect our children and diligently teach them about the Lord because the Word tells us in Luke 6 that students become like their teachers. Each day I’m more and more convinced that Christian parents should remove their children from the public school system and walk in the mandate that God has called us to in raising our children to know Him. The best option is home schooling and the second option would be a Bible believing Christian school. Anyway, that’s just been my heart in the last few years. Ultimately parents are responsible but I believe we are abdicating our responsibility to organizations that are against the truths of God and His Word. When we do that we shouldn’t be surprised by the outcome

God is raising up another new remnant. We are on fire 🔥. But this guy is telling the truth I backslid in that time. I'm came back to the faith in 2019, praise God. 👏🏽 I praise God for another chance. I never thought I would walk away as well. I was very active and loving. God flled with his true power of the holyghost. I stayed in a covering. I allowed my broken marriage and record label that tried to stop my release after we worked so hard. Jealously was the issue. I also trusted a friend with my music lyrics. He released the record without my permission and made huge money. Never offered me a dime. I was hurt because these were christians. I learned my lesson. Not to leave church because of the devil that works through people. I forgave these people years later.

Our daughter did exactly the same- she professed faith and was involved very much in Church and studied theology for a few years. Then she turned away and now denies all that she seemed to believe in. She was not truly saved in the first place. It was a phase in her life.

I wonder, was your daughter a youth at the time? Because what I find is that the youth group don’t teach the true depth of the Word of God just the fun of being in a youth group . This statistic is alarming, 80% of all Christians in youth group will not return to church after they graduate high school and 98% will not return to church if they also go to college for four years. They are not grounded, in the faith. I’m sorry to hear about your daughter

We need to shed the light on darkness and expose the lies of the enemy. My heart breaks for these people. John I recently shared some of what I learned about the Leviathan spirit with my sibling who was struggling with addictions and there were lots of talks and I went into warfare for them, this past Sunday I am so thankful to say that they gave their life to Christ! It was such a beautiful Sunday! The whole congregation clapping and congratulating them 🙏❤️ God is so good, I just wanted to share this great news with you because you and your family have had a role in my walk with Christ. Thank you for being so transparent and shining the light for us to see. "Follow me as I follow Jesus" that's you and God bless your leading the sheep.

Being part of a church is good as it builds the faith of the believer. Working on your own can make you isolated and depressed. I understand the problems that one encounters in the body of Christ but we are all humans and do have faults and failings. Being open without being rude, encouraging one another in love just like one would do with immediate family including relatives who sometimes can be irritating, helps.😊

Great podcast! It’s so sad to see how many once believers have lost their faith and left the church. There’s a nonbeliever in my family who grew up in the church. He doesn’t seem to question God or His existence. He questions the obedience and authenticity of God’s children. It made me think of a quote by Brennan Manning. “The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians: who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, walk out the door, and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.” I was reminded that I need to not just read and meditate on God’s Word, but be a doer of the Word. Be obedient and ask God to open the eyes of my heart.

It is easy to attack Christians but if we look at the world there are worse things happening. Christians live in this fallen world and are trying hard every day. We get to listen to advice & warnings both in the church and outside of it. Why not be more kind and considerate to each other. Keep your eyes upon Jesus & you will not be bothered by what others say or do.

God literally manifested through this podcast! so, am a teen from India..yesterday during the dawn i was praying and when i opened the word of God i stumbled upon a chapter from the book of bible i started to feel that this is just history and boring like what would that have to do with me and my situation then i started questioning if God was real cause i expected God to like talk verbally or send an angel to instruct me what to do in my situation and say that my prayers are answered and moreover am preparing of tough competitive exams so i considered it to be a time waste but this podcast opened my understanding that the word of God is God himself talking and its not just reading any other book but interacting and having fellowship with the creator...I understood its not a ritual but a relationship...thank God

With tens of thousands of denominations, it's not hard to see why people leave. This division has crept into every part of America. If the faith that you have is personal and is based on personal biblical interpretation, then your children will inevitably meet others who's faith not only contradicts what they have learned, and internally rebel.

Came on time! I was reading my Bible this morning and I couldn't believe what the Psalmist said, "Oh, how I love your instructions! I think about them all day long." (Ps119:97) I was like, "Is this man for real? Who would love commands? Who would love to be commanded? When our parents command us to clean the house, etc, it's never fun." And this verse really made me think that maybe my love is cold or I am missing something. But in this podcast, I realized, yes I love God's commands (maybe not always emotionally, but I keep it close to my heart and do my best to renew my mind daily on the word).. because it is best for me. Sometimes, it is painful, but loving doesn't just mean feeling good, it is obeying, it is not drifting away from it. ❤

I’m incredibly excited about this podcast! I believe John Bevere is uniquely qualified to address some of these hard-hitting questions that people have about their faith. I hope that he dives into some of the more controversial topics and even confront head on some of the teachings that have appeared in places like TikTok and have formed this movement of deconstruction. Which is different than just questioning your faith and reaffirming or clarifying some of the beliefs that you’ve had about the Bible or God that may have been wrong. This deconstruction movement is diabolical and has to be confronted head on with truth. God bless you on this podcast.

Secularism in the western world has been growing for many years. The traditional beliefs and practices of organized religion don’t work well for younger people. Fear, guilt, tribalism, and exercise of power by dominating government - won’t turn this around. Focusing on the teachings of Jesus to love and help each other, especially those in need has lots of appeal .
