The Prius shield for the Prius is the best shield. Miller makes the best shields.

I am planning to Red Loctite the 3 tamper-proof nuts and 2 tamper-proof bolts. If the shield ever does need to come off for service, a heat gun is pretty cheap. But, I've never needed to do any work in this area in 18 years. 2005 Prius has been very good to me. MoFo's attacking it are not its fault.

Do you guys plan on making anything for US's best selling Ford F-150 pickups? Those get targeted very frequently because of how high off the ground they are.

Thanks for this. I was told by a Toyota salesperson that in 2018, Toyota redesigned their cars to make the CC harder to access. But that may or may not be true. Do you see the Kia Niro Hybrid as a target for CC theft? I wonder if their design makes it harder to access.

Every Prius is a target for theft and has at least one exposed converter. We have not taken a look at the Niro and have not heard of a request for that vehicle. We do have a form on our website to help track requests and plan our future products. catshield.com/pages/cat-shield-request-form

So do the key is the same for every single shield ? That mean that a thief will have a key and get a way with it

I think I read you can pay more on their site for bolts with a different key.

The kits come with two or three different security screws/bolts. Thieves don’t like confrontation, the longer they have to spend trying to steal something means a greater risk of getting caught. Thieves are cowards who take what others work for, don’t make it easy for them.

My favorite part of this video is a security company showing on their website how to remove the product by showing how to install it. These thieves arent stupid. This company is a joke.

It’s a deterrent. Pay attention. Better yet, take it to a muffler shop and for an extra $50 they’ll throw a couple spot welds on the bolts.

There are all sorts of ways to prevent removing the screws, including packing the recesses in the SS screw heads with "hot mud" - drywall mud that is more like cement than like chalk. The shield can still be removed but it will take an hour or more to pick the hot mud out so the custom bit can be used. You did see that the bit is proprietary, right: It looks like a standard spline security head but is 5 point rather than six point.
