I’m glad you called the woman with the hat out as a manipulator. From the clips you showed, it seemed like the other woman was just annoyed she wouldn’t shut up about being a stripper and was doing too much for attention from the other woman’s perspective. Apathy is not enough to warrant a confrontation. Her real issue was with them being interested in the same man, but she wanted to make the other woman look bad so she made it about her stripping past instead. The lady said she knew people with past much worse, which is a VALID statement. It doesn’t mean you hate it, and even if she did, it doesn’t mean she’s gonna go out of her way to treat you bad because of that one specific thing, and people don’t owe you approval and applause. The fact she took the phrase out of context and ran with it told me everything I needed to know. She wasn’t trying to listen, just confirm her belief and run with it and tell the world. However, the other lady shouldn’t have been grabbing on her like that earlier, that seemed like a power play to me.

To be Devil's advocate: There's a clip of Crystal (wasn't shown by Cooper) claiming at least 3 men for herself (note that there are only 5 dads) and Barbie is rightfully pissed off about that, as well as well, that was literally day one of meeting dads, it IS too early to claim someone. Crystal saying "I'm friends with women much worse than you" is very clearly showing she's looking down on Barbie, who tried to settle everything nicely in private. I do not think Crystal was looking down on Barbie for being a dancer, only for fishing for attention, but Barbie doesn't seem to have that kind of self awareness and appears quite insecure about stripping, so that's where her assumption came from. Both of them are attention seekers and neither of them are innocent.

@@monwren I agree that she shouldn’t have tried to claim so many men so early, but I was only commenting on how she handled the situation. Her issue was with her claiming a man she was interested in, but she made it about her past instead, and claimed she was only treating her badly because of it. The phrase “I’m friends with woman who are much worse than you” doesn’t mean she looks down on her, it quite literally means she’s friends with people who, in her opinion, have done worse, yet she’s still friends with them. Your friends don’t have to approve of 100% of the stuff you do. Just because you disagree with a person’s life choices doesn’t mean you inherently treat them as lesser than (even if you secretly see them that way), and the fact she chose to interpret it that way means it’s more of an internal issue than a her issue. I’ll admit she could have worded it better, but I don’t think there was malice in her statement, and she’s attributed “are much worse than you” to only the sex work part and not her whole personality as a whole despite the fact the other woman keeps telling her that’s not why, she just thinks you’re annoying. And in a world we’re she is looking down on her for her past, that still doesn’t mean she’s treating her differently solely because of that. I’m sure there’s plenty of people in your life you think less of because of the choices they’ve made and still treated them like you’d treat others. The whole act of basically asking someone why they don’t like you is a lose lose situation. 9 chances out of ten, people who do that aren’t interested in changing to suit one person, they just want to see why so: -they can get sympathy or validation from other people who think the reason is stupid or who pity them for hearing something “mean” about themselves -they want to make the other person look bad -they want to convince them their reason isn’t valid (if it was this one, she wouldn’t have left as soon as she said I’m friends with worse people) Shorthand, I think she could have worded it better, but ultimately, the woman was still trying to manipulate the situation in a way that would make her seem more likable. She wasn’t interested in this one on one girls talk until they were in public and surrounded by men, but if we’re honest, I don’t think either or them are girls girls; the show isn’t really an environment that attracts that. I respect your opinion though and can see where you’re coming from.
