The Picasso, Maestro, this man was all those things, and then some. I enjoyed listening to his albums, cassettes, Cd's whatever has his music on it. His music transformed my life, taught me to relax more, to enjoy life period! I actually had the privilege of seeing his last two performances when he came to Philadelphia to perform, I was mesmerized then as I am now, and will always be of this man and what he has done for music in general! He was a performer and there will never be another like him in my lifetime. Thank you Dad for introducing me to Miles Davis and his music.
Before Miles Davis, the word "cool" was defined as a temperature.

Live on Miles!!!!
I have listened to the album Miles Live Around The World more than any Album or CD EVER PERIOD. and each time that I do I hear and learn something about the GENIUS of MR. MILES DAVIS..... CHIEF .... I lived in NYC from 1972 to 1981 and because of a good friend Trumpet Player Lester Bowie , I had the honor of meeting Chief MILES DAVIS ... great HONOR. I use to run errands for Mr. Miles Davis.

WELL SAID FRIEND.
The Picasso of jazz. Always evolving and creativity in everything that he did. I saw him in the 60s at a small and intimate jazz club. When he walked into the room you immediately knew that he was special. Deep penetrating eyes and mind that you knew you were in the presence of genius.

Anybody knows the musicians' names ?
Man no words can describe the way I feel and interpret the way the horn lines sound to my ears . Miles sure did know how to choose the people to play with. The bands chemistry was so unified. That was one the best live recordings I’ve ever heard . I listened to it all the time go get inspired to play in this place we call life. god bless the world for spawning musical giants and the musical gumbo that is jazz . This music can make you feel things you never thought were possible:)

Me too! I just loved me some Miles!
This is my favorite song they did together
Breathless. Rhythm section is sooo tight and Miles just wafting over it. Sick, sick, sick...
I remember my barber telling me he got a chance to see Miles perform live in the mid 70’s He (miles) showed up 1 hour late hit the stage lower the mic ankle high turned his back the whole performance and left everyone BREATHLESS 🎺🎺🎺🎺
@AlmtyIsis111

He talked about why he turns his back. He said he looks for the best acoustic pocket and moves to play in it. I was awed!
Incredible, simply incredible...! Jazz Mastery at it's finest - MILES, WE MISS YOU...!

Pure Miles, pure jazz. What an amazing piece of music ! ! !
I saw his concert in München in 91. On that day Miles Davis was already very weak. Two people to his left and right accompanied him to entrance of the stage, and waited there for him after the concert. He passed away the same year. Kenny Garrett left the concert after his solo for at least ten minutes, and wandered the aisles in front of the hall. I think he was pretty exhausted.
Theres no words to describe this magnificent performance of the Master Davis, all the musicians are so coooool, MINDMACHINES 👌👌👌👌👌👌
Absoluteky wonderful, there is no word no to express what Miles did to Music!!!!

He changed the game forever. In the way History is BC and AD, Jazz is BM and AM! We will never see his like again.
Detroit's own Kenny Garrett on alto sax! I really love all of Miles' live versions of Hannibal, but I do wish Marcus Miller was available at the performance to add his bass clarinet refrains that he played on the studio version.

There’s music that’s pretty; that’s great. There’s music that’s fun & makes you want to dance; that’s great, too. There’s music that’s a vehicle for musicians to show off their skills; love it. But, then there’s music that reaches for something higher than us & too mysterious & too profound to even talk about, and that’s how I hear this.

And music like that is a magic carpet ride....for me
I saw him play in Albuquerque at the Kiva Auditorium. One of the best shows I've ever seen. It was amazing. Brilliant ! He had a guitarist that was amazing as well. Miles cut him loose on stage to compliment both they're talents.
Kenny est magnifique ❤❤❤❤!
this Miles Davis and Kenny Garret, the musical understanding between the two, was Miles' last contribution to JAZZ, a GIANT in his role as a pathfinder in the music! There is an essence here that one cannot describe and most miss it, but if one HEARS it it can be uplifting to a place beyond this earth to peace and freedom severing the ties to the chaos here ! jg

last year of his life... sad. amazing artist. in this performance he had to wait until 9:33 to be able to start playing the sax entered crazy solo mode until then
Marcaram época, Miles Davis e banda; também quando John Coltrane foi integrante alcançaram enorme projeção nesse ritmo que milhões apreciam: o jazz. Excelente!!!!
