That left hook in Round 3 would have sent a anyone to the .at .
Those body shots from Tyson in this fight paid BIG dividends and broke that man down.
The accuracy and timing of Ruddock was impeccable and Tyson was really a juggernaut absolute legends of the ring
Tyson's heavy bag work with Rooney is a good video to watch. it helps you understand tysons approach and also admiration to his adversaries for taking heavy shots One of the most talked about boxers ever and for me one of the most exciting heavy weights to watch

Masterpiece ever. Great
Is it me or those body shots sound like shotguns being fired How tough are both of these men Only God knows
Mike Tyson was a fantastic boxer a truly great boxer many of the opponents had a lot of reach on Mike can you imagine what the fights would have look like if he had the reach advantage on them
I'm surprised more of Tysons opponents didn't use his aggressiveness at the start of nearly every round to their advantage. I've been doing nothing but watching Tyson KO videos since the fight Saturday, and that seems to be his Modus Operandi. Bell rings, the two walk towards the center, and Mikes looking for a KO blow nearly EVERY round.

Yeah I think it was planned quite often to counter that. Often they would game plan and just get overwhelmed too quickly by his explosive counters and movement. Truly, this version of Tyson wasn’t up to his earlier career. When he dropped Rooney some fights after Gus died his constant head movement and indefatigable changing of levels faded more and more over time, as the endurance for such constant explosive movements is only possible with heavy training (and probably certain necessary “supplements”) done consistently, both year-round and kept up during specific fight camps. He kept the ability to bide time and explode with monster shots in a way that could end any fight, but you can see the way he didn’t even close the distance with foot work, rather choosing to lunge in from space was indicative of the loss of discipline, focus and the stamina needed to bob and bounce with the legs for long periods of time.
How crazy was it that you hit Mike with all your might and don't knock him down but he hits you with just half the power and you go nite nite. 😂
holy gloves, the brutality of those body shots from both in the first 4 rounds! GREAT SOUND!

It wasn't a bad stoppage. Watch the video again and stop it around 6:12. Razor had his arms down and was defenseless. Tyson was coming in for the kill and Ruddock could have gotten really hurt. He had one arm behind the ropes and the other arm was down. It was a good stoppage.

@@shivamshukla3605 I say this because you guys act as if Mike was indestructible. He dominated a relatively weak post-Holmes era and has no wins against a prime Hall of Famer. Yes, not all of that is Mike’s fault, but his life and career unraveled as soon as Bowe and Lewis emerged, as well as when Holyfield jumped from Cruiserweight to Heavyweight. I am not sure Mike would win any of those fights in the early '90s. Beating an almost 40-year-old Holmes, who had to be coerced out of retirement after two years of inactivity, is not impressive, nor was beating a puffed-up Light Heavyweight in Michael Spinks.

If only real boxing was the same as punch out...
If the ref didn’t step in, Ruddock was lights out on the next two right hooks from Tyson. And we”re not mentioning the two left hooks in between.
I never thought Ruddock had that good and terrifying upper-cut. Tyson's defence skill saved him from getting devastating 1 upper-cut from Ruddock. (Remember 1 upper-cut by Dugras that ended the fight in Tokyo?) As to too soon stoppage by the referee, it's everyone's opinion. Mine? Yes, considering possible one big upper-cut by Ruddock.

Wow.. that was a rigged call by the ref... unreal... it isn't like Ruddock wasn't defending...
So what can we take away from this fight??? Clearly Tyson wasn't himself, but still alot of fight left in him.. Rooney was gone, and he was left with a different group of guys , probably all scared of correcting him, when he needed correction.. bad group of people around him.. but Tyson proved something, where as he was always the superior boxer, he proved his toughness, and ability to not just throw punches, but to take them too. Tyson was actually throwing knock out punches, and that were landing...but give ruddock alot of credit he was a knuckle head bad boy too.. because he was eating those punches..it took alot to take him down, even until nthe end. Tyson had convinced the referee the man would have fought until he had brain damage from Tyson, because he had so much heart.. sometimes having heart is good, but ultimately not feasible, not healthy... because he was taking too many shots, and the refs are trained to see when a fighter is just being, tough but actually suffering.. so the stoppage though it looked premature, it was a health issue, and to protect the state of the fighter.. most fighters have more heart, than to walk out as a quiet quitter.. especially in front of millions of people watching.. so Ruddock would or could have been spared a worse round and suffering still from that extra round today.. so Tyson is a bad boy, but Ruddock made him work for it.. much much respect to Ruddock!!!
