The Destructive Power of Mike Tyson
Спорт
In the spring of 1985, a real killer from Brooklyn burst into the ring, who brought fear and horror to his opponents. He made his way through the entire division of the heavyweights and knocked out everyone, one by one...

I think it possible for another good fighter like Mike if there willing to put all there energy into it like Mike did but that won't be easy that's a lot of determination and super hard training there to face if they want to be a destroyer like Mike along with a good mental ability and devotion and confidence with no fear pure warrior maybe someday...
Nobody fought with more aggression than Mike Tyson. His opponents knew that and most were beat mentally before the fight even started!

@Ivana Notyers It's a sport. The goal is to win. Each man enters the ring willingly in hopes to win. Careful what you wish for as they say. Mike was knocked out in round 8 by Lennox Lewis. I'm quite sure Lennox inflicted more damage to prize boxers than Mike has. The point I was making was a man of sport, who can hold onto his compassion is better than the strongest man who boastfully wins. Every man I know understands this.

yea idk how tall he is but he looks like hes 5'9 maybe 5'10 but so many opponents he faces have so much more reach than him and you'd think he would't have a chance then you see him fight and it's like he snorts cocaine and it shows in his punches I mean he's fighting well over 6 ft im talking 6'4 6'5 even 6'6 that is huge btw im 6'1 and bigger then most guys i come across on a daily basis and the guys hes facing are huge in comparison to me and im big in comparison to mike so it really puts it in prespective to how strong and dangerous mike tyson really is in the ring he's a formidable opponent
Always runs over to help the defeated opponent, tells me he has heart and soul. I can't understand the Desire Washington conviction in light of how he seems caring. Seems like a good guy, in this vid.
Tyson is beyond compare. He was a prodigy as a child Destined to become the greatest heavy weight there ever was and ever will be. Who doesn't like to watch him fight?
There is something I absolutely love about watching Mike Tyson here, it's the fact that despite his viciousness as a fighter he always showed great sportsmanship and respect for his opponent after having them knocked out so brutally. Incredible that all those moments are so overshadowed by the infamous ear bite.

@everyday tenor what about that street dude from the 80s ? That one went distance he was a big mother fucker can’t remember his name.
Been bingewatching these Mike Tyson videos for months now. The thing that I noticed the most is how small and compact those punches are. It's not small by power it's the movement. It's small, sharp, and compact punches. So far there's nobody else that can utilize it as well as Tyson did. There are moments where boxers will land these type of punches but not as well as this legend.
@DepressionShaman
2 жыл бұрын
That's by design. Peek A Boo was designed for smaller, compact fighters to find openings and get through an opponent's jab, using disciplined footwork and head movement. By the time they close on their opponent, small, sharp punches are what they are trained to land. Go to the body to bring their arms down, the score the knockout punches upstairs before their opponent can brace for it or see it.

In his prime, he was the greatest of them all. He usually gave weight, height and reach, but his hand speed, his power and aggression are like no one else I've ever seen. He also had fantastic footwork, which allowed him to use that power as well as avoiding most of his opponents punches. I think he would destroy every heavyweight in the division today.

His technique & power were uncanny but he always checked on the wellness of the other fighter. I loved HBO Boxing with the amazing Larry Merchant. They don’t make ‘em like they used to. ♥️🥊
I've seen them all since the late 1950's, and Tyson was the best I ever saw. You can make your case for Ali, but Ali never fought anyone like Tyson but Tyson fought plenty like Ali. If both were magically have been able to fight in their prime I think Tyson would have knocked Ali out in 5 rounds tops. In fact Ali would have probably thrown in the towel, then afterwords made a joke about it... Nobody ever fought with the intensity and focus as Tyson. Buster Douglas was a fluke. Say what you will about Iron Mike. But what I respect about Tyson is that, after he knocked out his opponent, he would go to the fighter to check on him and offer words of encouragement. A true athlete.
GREAT RESPECT. Almost all "victims" Mike Tyson went to help them. SPECIAL CHARACTER
I have been a fight fan since my early 20's. I'm seventy now. I have waited for so many years to see anyone with the movement, power, and punching power of the likes of Iron Mike. That is almost 30 years now. The red headed mexican...the ukrainian Vasily....great fighters...but no one has ever stepped up into Mike's stratosphere. I am wondering if he is one of those 'once in a hundred years fighters'

@@dennispeskey4898 Totally agree... Mike was always a very classy Sledgehammer... until he started biting ears... Darn - I wish I never had to see that side of him... otherwise a true hear of the sport...

Until he went over to Kings corner. Cus D'Amato taught Mike to respect the ring and his opponent...win or lose. Don King just wanted to get into Tysons pocket Cus brought Mike to live with him to train and stay out of prison...King didn't even visit him once . Mikes career would have lasted at least 5 to 7 more years if he didn't change camps....We all know the rest when Don King supplied him with hookers and cars. He was only still a kid...and vulnerable. It is what it is...but Mike will always be known as the greatest of his time. No questions asked.....

Mike has the Doom 2016 music running through his head when he steps in the ring
He was tough but never got to fight butter bean
Thanks for putting this together it brought back allot of memories.and excitement. He was an awesome fighter .the way he had no fear and went right after his opponents.
20:54 man that was certanly spectacular 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 what an agility and a effective destructive blows!!!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Tyson got screwed by his own people. He left the people who made him a legend .
There is no word for fulfil the legacy of the legend. Lots of respect sir. Tyson means king of the ring.👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
Best parts of the video were the fight aftermaths with Tyson actually going to make sure his opponents were okay. He was a well oiled machine... not a monster 👍👍

Shoutout to pinklon Thomas for taking some of the best shots from the king and stayed on his toes longer than most ever could think possible.

I can't think of anyone who destroyed a champion so much as Tyson did to Berbeck.
Mike was a wild young boy in the 80s😮😂😂
At 66, I've been watching all weight classes of boxing since I first saw Sonny Liston Vs. Cassis Clay and I think that NO one, not even Ali could bet Tyson if both were at the peak of their respective games. Tyson fights like those old school dudes such as Braddick, Graciano and Joe Louis. He is the best heavyweight I have ever seen box. IMO
