Mike Tyson on TRT vs Jake Paul (YIKES 😱😱)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Boxing legend “Iron” Mike Tyson has been training hard for the last few months in preparation for his boxing match with Jake Paul. You might think that at 57 years old and well past his prime that Mike Tyson will have a hard time holding his own against a much younger Jake Paul.
In most cases I would agree that this would not necessarily be a fair fight, even with Mike being one of the greatest boxers of all time. However, Mike Tyson has something in his corner that might make the fight closer than you think.
It’s been well documented that Mike has been on testosterone replacement therapy, otherwise known as TRT, for a little while now. Not only that, but he has received stem cell injections into old and broken down joints. This has essentially turned back the hands of time for Mike.
While Mike Tyson might be, chronologically, 57 years old … biologically, he is anything but. One could argue that he might as well be 37 years old having rejuvenated his body with the use of TRT.
What is TRT? Testosterone replacement therapy involves the injection of testosterone to replenish diminished test levels that have gone down over time. This essentially turns back the aging process and limits some of the side effects that come along with getting older.
This means that Mike’s age is not as much of a factor anymore. He doesn’t have to deal with the same aging effects that others his age have to deal with if they were not taking testosterone.
You can even see, compared to what he looked like just a few years ago, Mike Tyson is far more ripped than he was. His muscularity is leaps and bounds better than it was before he started taking TRT.
Do I think that Mike Tyson has a shot a beating a much younger Jake Paul, even with TRT on his side? Well, it is certainly a tall ask, but being one of the top boxers of all time, I think it would be hard to count him out so quickly.
All in all, I think Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul is going to be a great boxing match that shows two incredible athletes entering the ring. One is a legend that has found a way to turn back the hands of time and the other is a young, up and coming fighter who is climbing towards his prime.
Who do you think is going to win the Tyson vs Paul fight? “Iron” Mike Tyson or Jake Paul?

Given its prized fighting, or in other words, fighting for money, u could say Paul is way ahead of Tyson in that category. Don’t think Tyson was getting this kind of money or being in a position to hand pick the names he wants, just to make money, less then 10 fights in. Jake’s in it for money and fame. He’s not doing a thing wrong, all he’s doing is making money, collecting names, and taking little to no damage. Pretty good game plan.

@@Duarki I don’t hate Paul for being a good advertiser but you’re way off in terms of the amount of money that Tyson made. Also, it’s interesting that you refer to a professional sport (specifically boxing as “fighting for money”) as prized fighting. All professional sports athletes are paid (hence why they are not amateur) so that is a silly comment. Paul is not an athlete, he’s just a rich white guy who is really talented at self promotion. If he were to win then anyone who has ever been an athlete will know it was rigged for a paycheck. I don’t care about the age difference, there are certain movements repeated so many times that it becomes instinctual. There is a difference between a man who has never had to struggle and one that only knows pain.

@@Evil-Never-Dies u disagree with professional fighters/boxers being prised fighters? ok, but that’s what they r offically referred to, it’s not some comment I came up with, when a fighter makes it to the top, with pay checks and ppv, he’s a prised fighter. that is what the term means. it’s not ‘me’ referring to it. it’s the whole world. and I’m not wrong about Tyson and money, 10 fights in Tyson was not fighting big names at all, let alone the biggest names in the world for millions. so why the hell r u trying to argue Paul is behind Tyson in terms where he’s at in prised fighting. he’s ahead of Tyson. and he’s about to make money of dragging his old ass name through shit. again, u argue against ur own statement, u explain what a professional athlete is, then go on to explain Paul is not an athlete, even though by ur very definition of a professional athlete, Paul is one. in short, ur an idiot. who’s to emotionally caught up in disliking jake Paul.

@Duarki Except that he will never be remembered as one of the greats. What happens to people like Jake is that they might start off purely about the money and have their priorities straight. But once they get this sorted out they will want more. What this usually means is they’ll want to get the kind of respect serious fighters do. Usually they can never achieve this type of admiration but thanks to all the hype and money going their way they delude themselves into thinking they are one of the Goats since they are fighting real Goats ( way past their prime ). After the hype around them dies it becomes clear to them that they aren’t considered a serious fighter and then they get miserable. Female rappers are a good example of this phenomenon. Ice spice for example. Her fans thought her music was fun and not serious so they put her up, now that she’s up she actually believes she’s a great rapper. She was never good but the last 2 songs she released are straight up garbage. She thought she was so good that she couldn’t fail. That’s the problem with worshipping people not for their talent. They start to think that they must have talent because they are famous. Kim K is a good example too. She got booed heavily during the Tom Brady roast and I’ll bet a 100 dollars that she never would have imagined this would happen.

No shit mate. who the hell thinks Jake Paul is a great boxer, do u think Jake Paul actually thinks he’s a great boxer? do u honestly believe he’s so delusional he actually thinks he’s a legitimate boxer? Fighting Mike Tyson when he’s 55? and old retired mma fighters? wtf. but when it comes to entertainment business and money business, he’s doing well. he’s not attempting to be a legitimate boxer at all, otherwise he’d be fighting in a regional competition working his way up. he’s doing exactly what he’s doing.

All I have to say in regard to that is that the Boxing Commission has brought this on itself with its shenanigans allowing Boxers to pick their opponents, dodging Mandatory Contenders and more. Mayweather flaunted it and turned the whole thing into a circus. Young Ryan Garcia calling out the fact there can't be 7 undefeated fighters in the one weight class all dodging each other because their management doesn't want to blemish their records. Kudos to Garcia for shaking it up. Point being the last 30yrs of Boxing have been an absolute farce and today's so called Champs are just a protected species. If this weren't true Jake Paul wouldn't have even got this far It even goes into the Boxing Gyms itself, with amateurs. I've seen some of the toughest guys just get sick and tired of wasting their time in some gym while the coach spends all his time with his little pet. Myself having KO'd the coaches pet and left the Club. Now 30yrs later I put my son in the local club only to watch the talent in the club going ignored while the coach focused on one kid who's father used to box. The kid had no intention of ever Boxing and after 3yrs of training finally they coaxed him into a fight, first 3 fights must be with someone who's less than 3 fights also and they picked some kid with less than 6mths training. The club pet got slain by a kid with 6mths training, after he had 3yrs of private sessions and he was beat so bad he never wants to Box again so the Coach wasted 3yrs of his time really dragging his little pet up and its 3yrs he wont get back. Meanwhile if he had put that effort into some of the actual talent he may have had a protege to boast about This is the story of Boxing, all these pretty boys are somebodies pet. Meanwhile the real talent and the real tough nuts walked in and before long simply left. The only reason these guys stand out is for years of training, but the Coaches selection criteria for who gets that treatment is an absolute joke. A lot of family business and nepotism, not what you know but who you know Mike Tyson himself was some bad attitude kid who Cus took in, he couldnt even pay his own way but Cus saw something. I dont know what coaches are looking for today but it isnt toughness and it sure as hell aint talent The Boxing World is a Joke and made itself the pun of jokes!

As always, I couldn't agree with you more. Mike Tyson is anything but your normal 58 year old man. I told my son that as a young person as you exercise you give yourself a gift in your old age. I've been through quite a lot in my 63 years and I've always been impressed with how my body wants to return to its old normal, which was athletic. Our children need to exercise growing up, it will benefit them in their old age

@MinotaurvsCyclops That's a great question. My answer is if I hit you with 14 ounce gloves and Mike Tyson hit you with 16 ounce gloves, You're going to feel Mike's shots way more. Personally, I think the thicker gloves chosen for this fight are more to protect Mike's hands (The bones in his hands tend to break easily) as well as defensive padding for Jake. Also, there are different types of gloves. Some have more padding on the knuckles to cushion impact, and some gloves have more padding on the back of the hands to protect from the punches coming in. I don't know which specific gloves they're going with

Mma fighters are the baddest guys on the planet if the use all their skills but against specialist like someone that only trains boxing they have no chance just like a boxer would have no chance in the cage. Plus Diaz was mainly a ju jitsu guy with pretty good hands but no real boxer and Woodley was a wrestler that had knockout power with the lil mma gloves but bigger gloves the power goes away n he was never a boxer. Only dude that's been a legit boxer was Tommy Fury and Jake lost n Tommy sux. If this isn't set up there's no way Jake gets past 3 rounds but I'm sure it's bs n set up

@@jimmylarge1148 Man you need to go back and watch Ali tape. You must have fallen down and bumped your head. During Ali's early fights he was bigger, faster, and more skilled than any other opponent. His jab was crazy quick. His speed was never matched. And if you pissed him off he would make your face look like a tomato. He was Unmatched. Then he used his brain and mouth. He wasn't scared of anyone. After he was barred from fighting for 3 years, he lost the quickness so he used other methods to beat fighters. Watch the 2 Sonny Liston fights. Tyson has said many times. Ali was the greatest because he would die in the ring. Tyson said I ain't dying for boxing.

I'm 44. Australian. TRT is notoriously hard to get here legally but I had an overwhelming simple case for it. I'm a opiate addict and overweight, a sufferer from Fibromyalgia (hence the reason for opiates that have since ruined my life, albeit predictably)... Anyway, my free test on two readings was undetectable, that's correct, undetectable. I have been on cream for around six months and last reading was around 15, or 350+ in the other measurements, so back in range. Prior to TRT I had zero libido and E.D, now I have the libido of a twenty year old me. Though other effects are hard to gauge due to my medical conditions. I have increased sleep apnoea but I am fat and under influence so TRT is not the sole reason. Please don't judge my story, it's just for information only.

That's not how Therapeutic Use exemptions work. They are there to level the playing field for athletes with medical conditions that affect them in everyday life as well as in competition. The most common example is inhalers for athletes with asthma. They're banned by most anti-doping organisations, but it's relatively straightforward to get an exemption if it's been prescribed by a Dr. Using TRT to "wind back the clock" and feel/perform like a younger man would pass muster. He would likely only be able to get an exemption if TRT was medically necessary for his health.

@@deltalima6703 Not every 57 medically needs to go on TRT. That's the point. The fact that he is 57 and is testosterone isn't as high as it used to be is not grounds for a Therapeutic Use Exemption. It has to be medically necessary. If he has clinically low testosterone and needs TRT for his health (Not performance) than it'd be fine. If he had T2D, of course he'd be able to use insulin (Once he got a Therapeutic Use Exemption)
