He was crying. There are few things to make a man more upset than losing a child. It's immediate rage ,horror, and the greatest sadness you can imagine... all at once. I've had many of these interactions, and I greatly respect people who can understand and reconise that. Mike was ready to die or kill someone else. He needed to leave, reconised it, and did it. It was incredibly emotionally mature.

I think Mike looked at him after he said “I couldn’t handle it” and remembered he was just another cold zoo-goer that didn’t actually give a rip about him or his situation or his feelings. Edit: I finally found the full interview, and they got with Mike before the left and Mine said “it’s in, I gotta grow up and stop crying”. And the interviewer guy said “it’s okay Mike, you’re allowed to cry.” He was actually just embarrassed, and felt vulnerable.

Mike I'm praying for you, as someone who lost a son back in 2019 it is the hardest thing that can happen to you. When I got the call from my ex-wife I was devastated and the manager and the others were standing right there as we were doing cleaning at the job and they all heard the call, since I was the only one cleaning I went back to work and they all said no no no you got to go, so I got out out the hole and walked to the bay door and looked up at the sun with tears in my eyes and said Lord guess you needed him more, but Lord thank you for letting me see my son the day before and letting us pray together that day. Mike may God touch and heal your heart, i had my time with drugs and alcohol after a wife took my daughter from me and didn't get to see her after that, was in my early 20s and when i turned 27 i stopped all that and realized that is never the answer to anything in life for me or anyone, drugs and alcohol destroys never fixes.

She got married and had 12 children. 2 died as infants,1 died just shy of his 3rd birthday and 1 died at the age of 20 when he drowned. When my dad,the baby of the 12 kids, was a teenager her husband died. She would end up losing 2 more children before she passed away. One from cancer and one from a heart attack. In the last three years I lost both of my sons. When you go to the depths that you go to with that kind of grief and when you have problems with rage and anger you have to know yourself! I have become a recluse since then. I've always had an issue with anger and rage and I don't trust myself. If you knew the circumstances especially of my oldest son's passing you would understand why. When the most precious things that you have are taken from you and you have nothing left to lose you have to know yourself inside and out! Things can go left really fast.
