Even not taking into account Ali's influence outside of the ring, one thing about Ali is he's NEVER been knocked out in his 21 year career. Even later when he was suffering from Parkinson's. Tyson knows this and the mental toughness needed to go 15 rounds against Ali.

Ali was a man who would tie himself upright against the ropes to stay in the game. He was the purest incarnation of an unending man. He was by no means unbreakable, no one is. But, Ali is one of the few people on earth who can be beaten down and bloody, yet still hold himself up, holding his broken parts while smiling towards the audience. Buster Douglas and evander holyfield??anyone that was halfway decent that wasn't afraid of him he lost to so how could he be a legend?? Most of his victories came within five rounds or less. He had never been through a war you must be young you never saw the grades like Ali Frazier even Ken Norton shavers. In fact I think Ernie shavers would have knocked them out he had way more power. Does not mean no matter how fast my Tyson was.he was only fast and the first few rounds and then he would start to become stationary. His whole campaign was based on fear and intimidation.if a fighter was not afraid of him he was in trouble if that fighter had good skills. He ducked George Foreman even when he was older and not in his prime.it was often said that he said you cannot put me in the ring with that monster!! about George Foreman. It is rumored that he screamed at at Don King.he ducked foreman and that's enough for me to say he was afraid of someone that wasn't fearful of him and a large man at that.he was small for a heavyweight and he relied on his side to side movements to fight from mid-range to get in and get out. I just cannot say he was one of the top 5 I'm sorry. He was very good but not one of the top five

The pain in this man's heart is just too much. He's been trough hell and back, he have lived like there is no tomorrow, he was a titan, a gladiator who never kneeled for nobody .. and to this day his love for the sport, his love for his Idol Ali, for his mentor Cus... its heartbreaking. Nowdays you'd rarely see people be greateful for what they have. People tend to forget about where they came from..he never did.

@msc14111990, Everyone Mike Tyson fought was bigger than he was, except in the Norris fight. George Foreman was 6 feet 4 inches tall and Muhammad Ali was past his prime and "KNOCKED HIM OUT" Muhammad Ali was 6 feet 3 inches tall. Boxers are bigger cosmetically good looking, but, they can not take a punch, have the speed or boxing skill to compete in the 1960's and they use PERFORMANCE ENHANCING DRUGS today. Size counts based on the lake of technical abilities or and average man, however, Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali were not the average man. Vladimir Klitchko,😂😂😂 Please Klitchko has been K.OED more than any champion active today. The Amateur Boxing Programs were better back then than today. Deontay Wilder weight is 216lbs. and he has K.O.ED nearly every fighter that he has fought and all of them out weighted him!!!

Ali was dead game. There’s a clip of an old show where a bunch of old hw champs are chilling and someone said they could beat him as a joke I believe it was larry Holmes and Ali with Parkinson’s got this crazy look, stood up and was going to fight him right there. I won’t forget that look, there’s was a gameness and anger that Tyson didn’t even have. Ali would rather die than quit. Granted fighters like Tyson never quit either and took their ass kickings. Ali did quit against Frazier in the third fight.

non yobussiness That Ali so uncharacteristically wanted to quit in the third fight (and after whooping Frazier's ass in the 14th round!) was a testament to how brutal the body punches Frazier had given him earlier were. Like, when Frazier was breaking Ali's body with them when Ali was doing the rope-a-dope... you could HEAR the 'cracking' of Frazier seeming to punch right through Ali's body. Greatest fight in boxing ever

  • @Trill104

Man this got me so emotional. Ali knew what he was standing for was bigger than him. His boxing platform was used to amplify his voice. His voice being amplified gave him a bigger purpose. He was the most confident fighter of all-time. Other boxers can look at him and can attribute them being at their best to the heart that Ali had. He was a King and the greatest of all. If you look at boxing as an absolute science then yes anyone can beat anyone at anytime but Ali influenced so many greats and knowing what he suffered with daily because of what he left in the ring, it’s hard for anyone who admired him beating his ass in the ring even if they probably could. Ali showed all the black boxers what heart looked like in the ring and a lot of them don’t even come close.
