I can’t recommend the cold showers enough, I’ve been doing it every shower for almost a year now and it’s amazing, when I started I would start with lukewarm water and just stick it through and then turn it to ice cold and the feelings it gives me include euphoria, energy, relaxation, refreshed and recovered, but most importantly, ready. Ready to seize the day and in conjunction with Wim’s breathing technique, I promise you it’s life changing. Thank you, Wim 🙏🏽

Do you start with hot then move to cold? Or do you do just cold? I spent 2 years in the mountains just showering with cold water and recently moved into a flat and doing showers from hot to cold, but thinking of switching back to just cold. Thanks!

Doing Wim's breathing every day is definitely one of the ways I have overcome stress and anxiety for almost three years now as an older adult. Working up to holding my breath for two minutes is a miracle that I didn't dream of, but it's magical and I am so grateful to Wim. He is a genius. How did he ever develop his methods. He has guidance from above...of this I am sure.

I wasn't expecting much from the breathing exercise but I thought I'd give it a go! My body came alive, the tingling, I could feel the blood rushing through my body... It was the most relaxed I've ever felt. I didn't want to move because I didn't want to lose that feeling lol.. Total relaxed state in slow motion

I did breathing and cold showers every day for a year and it helped me to cope with enormous anxiety and fear during the covid pandemic. It gave me strength and confidence in my health I never had in my 37 year life. I live in Russia. And now from February 24 the time when whole my familiar world collapsing and every day I find out frightening news from all over the world…I believe that the past version of myself couldn’t resist this fear. I did it for first time 1.5 years ago. I can stay in coldest water in a frozen Canadian lake for 25 minutes usually. But more importantly it helped me start to go inside myself, after a lifetime of running from myself, starting to face my decades of addiction, cptsd, adhd, pure panic. I breathe in & think of three humans beings who inspire me most (Wim is 1 of those 3) & exhale, breathe out the shame, rage, fear & loneliness that has me running for far too long. Luv Wim Hof!

I'm 6 weeks-in with the breathing and cold showers. Take it from me (a 60 year-old newbie), this stuff works! I was having issues as a result of long covid (primarily horrible chronic fatigue & brain fog). I looked into literally EVERYTHING that might help. By accident, my wife was watching a netflix series called "Goop Factory"? Hope I got that right. At any rate, Wim was featured on the episode she was watching. I sat and watched, and then literally, cold turkey, my wife and I both started the cold showers & breathing technique. We went full-on 10-minute cold showers, only realizing later that you should work your way into those. Hell, if a 60 year-old can do this, you can too! Cold water is not going to kill you! In fact, total opposite! It's like having 10 cups of coffee to get your day going! From about the 2nd day of doing this until present, I've done nothing but improve. I'm back to 'normal' and can do just about any type of exercise with absolutely no problem. All brain fog/fatigue issues are gone. Sleep at night (also a prior issue), is now outstanding! And it also helps with any torn muscle pain you may be experiencing - another benefit I'd not expected (I have a ruptured bicep). Both my wife and I cannot thank Wim enough. Would be awesome to do some research with those suffering from covid side-effects. This stuff is literally the cure!

Ohhh me too! 😮 I am 60 in a few weeks and I had Covid on New Year’s Eve - I had terrible brain fog I thought I had dementia! I gave up my job. I’ve been trying to throw all the best vitamins in my brain and started working out 45 m a day and doing keto - that made me very weak. The first 3 times I did WHM it bought back terrible black emotions from trauma in the last 3 years ... I was so frustrated- could barely handle The panic attacks ... well I recovered in 3 days and went back to healthy carbs, work out and WHM - well in 2 days something amazing happened - my brain feels like it’s coming back to life and vibrancy- I did more in 2 days than / months - I just hope this is the end of the awful brain fog ! I think my mind let go of some past trauma ! Good luck mate !

Thx

@@jmact1977 Ease your way back into your workout routine. I was about 1 week into the cold showers and breathing before I started back with the workouts. Even now, I spread my weight training out over the course of the day as opposed all at one time. My typical workout is with weights, 45 minutes-1 hour, 4-5 days/week. I now do 3-4 sessions for approximately 15 minutes/day. I actually prefer this method as opposed to what I used to do (pre-covid). Good luck with your recovery. Once you incorporate the WHM into your daily routine, you'll never want to go back!

@@CryptoKaiser I myself had a few issues when initially doing the breathing exercises, mainly a fear that I'd faint or pass out without someone present to help me if I did. I taught myself to overcome that fear and just let go, relax, and enjoy the trip. If you find you can't hold the breath for the duration, don't force it. Let go of the breath hold and continue.

I've found that adding about 2-5 milligrams of edible Delta-9 really enhances the experience. Taking it after the breathing and directly prior to entering the water. The relaxation sensation in your core is phenomenal in about an hour and a half time after completion. I know Wim may discourage it, yet it gives the outcome of the breathing and cold immersion more depth to me. Not too much to get you 'loopy' yet to hit that 'zen' sweet spot. The clarity of mind lasts for about half a week I've found. I've also limited caffeine to only three or so times weekly and it enhances what takes place during a session as well. I never do coffee and only consume it in teas with lower amounts.

We certainly are. This method made me transcend all the fear being pumped to us 24/7, I laugh at everything now. Death is nothing to be feared, but Hoffers CHOOSE LIFE 🙂🙂🙂

Here is the cheat code. If i can literally just sit around basking in my own happiness and love and self-satisfaction then that short-circuits all of life. That's the genius of this method. That's its power. You think this is a bug. This is not a bug. This is a feature. This is exactly what you want. You want to short circuit that because you see then it frees you up.

Hi Wim, I have a friend with epilepsy so cold showers are not recommended... can she do the cold face/hands/feet treatment instead? She's doing the breathing every day and feeling so much better. Much love to you, you feel like a friend although we've never met. We Are All Connected ❤💚❤💚❤

Couple of coincidences: I was born in Nepal myself, since he mentioned Mount Everest (never been anywhere near the Himalayas though, like most Nepalese people). And the name Mike Posner is familiar because I heard one of his songs when I lived in Ohio. Anyway, I'm terrified of the cold. I don't have an ice bath or know anyone who has an ice bath. It would be cool to go to Poland and meet Wim (no pun intended). These are my types of people - the tribe I never had. I've never even swam in a lake, and that bums me out!
