Well not necessarily. Emilio's car is faster, but he didn't drive perfectly. Reiji did, and that can make a bigger difference. I once did a whole campaign using only the taxi, and I made it pretty far. I even beat the London City Champ with the taxi. However, before anyone calls BS, I am not lying. I had to try many many many MANY times before I could win. I also used dirty tactics like making racers crash into cars or buildings and such, this along with the really good handling of the taxi made me win every race, however I could NOT beat the World Champ with the taxi. Sometimes skills are better than speed. Just putting that out there.

I played the game for almost a year even after beating it with good cars. I wanted to challenge myself, so I slowly went from the faster cars and down the line to the slower cars. When I felt confident, then I would try with the taxi. I never said I finished the game quickly. Reread the comment before you make yourself look like a moron.

I owe this game a big thank you this game payed the way for me in gaming when i was young man i used to play the shit out this game even after i beat it i never stopped playing it one of my most memorable games of all i'll never forget this game

God comparing this to midnight club two, same series but the second one was just a massive upgrade, better graphics, physics, cars, and just in general better gameplay. Though to be fair, this game is still good, it's just outclassed by it's younger brother.

The maps feel very organic, no strip of street looks like it was unplanned, or made for a reason. The simplicity is also great.

first racing game I played on ps2! good memories! remember going into rage mode when trying to unlock cop cars!

I love how this game is basically Midtown Madness in everything but name, even the rain skid sounds are the same LOL

@@MinecraftvsBurnout You are comparing the beta GTA 3 because the final version have better textures and graphics compared to Midnight Club that came out 1 year before GTA game. Pay attention to rivals image, city sky, vehicle modelling of Midnight Club, they are cartoonish compared to GTA 3. Not every cartoonish graphics back in 1999-2001 are better than real textures and real life based graphics.

Shit look so realistic as a kid fr. A while ago was thinking about these type of graphics and how it brought me back to something and now I know where that sense or nostalgia came from.

As soon as I heard that main menu music and start up music holy shit did I get a rush of nostalgia

i dont remember a whole lot about this game, except i had a ton of fun, the style/graphics were really cutting edge, and getting all the new cars actually felt like achievements

I used to absolutely LOVE & play this game all the time when I was in elementary school!!

bro the opening music brings back so much nostalgia bro this was one of my first games on the ps2

This is cooler than watching any Fast and Furious movie.

I use to rage hard AF when I was on a good run in midnight club 1 and 2 and suddenly smack some random shit and come to a complete stop. you crashed in this game and you might as well restart the race.

Watching in 2020 and I've got to say, this game lucks good for being 20 years old and being one of the first games release on PS2
