What I like the most about Midnight Club II is how alive it feels for a racing game. The places seem like a believable microcosm of its own

Since this is the only Midnight Club game released on PC, it makes it the only game in the series that has a somewhat thriving modding community
I played the shit out of this game on my dad's PS2. So much, I burnt the green outline of the minimap into my old Hitachi TV. Childhoods really do fly by.
MC2 LETS GOOOO, vibe will never be matched
She will always be my favourite midnight club. Mc2 was difficult for me back in the day like around 2009. Now im back way better than before and im defeating every including kenichi, savo and my fovourite out of all bosses, Makoto. They are so many things that happen possitively of me gaming racing over the year that lead me now to become one of the greatest car racing racer gamers in life. I need to get camera gear so i can show people guides and tips of becoming great at not only mc2 but other racing games.
There's something to a very difficult racing game with a fine selection of trance and techno that just fits. Like a table top machine in a bar with rock n roll music playing in the background. It's exciting and calming at the same time since you really can get into a state of trance and play for hours without noticing. That's something only those fast and straight forward arcade racers like mc2 and the Wipeout series could achieve. The only modern game that comes close is ballistic ng

Put the PC version of NFS Porsche Unleashed on the list, its another great game with Trance soundtrack on it.
U should definitely check out the BRAINs music, from 1-43.

Difficult..Yes !! Amazing ? Absolutely bloody yes..!! The atmosphere in this game with the map design, cut-scenes etc, was fantastic. and then you get the soundtrack... !!!
Such a unique wonderful game. A timeless gem which is still quite under appreciated. Absolutely LOVE the atmosphere, music, races, uniqueness of each over the top character, and learning curve of the wicked variety of the races. Great tribute fella, evident appreciation. Truly love this game, and I relate to what you say about the main menu theme. It's a character on its own and immerses you into the vibe of the game perfectly 😊🥰
Also driving in manual is a lot of fun
I love this game so much! Glad to see there are people who still play it to this day! I'm now into modding it.
Midnight club 2 was the dark souls of racing games, the soundtrack was just amazing
fantastic job! I really enjoyed your video so far. Can’t wait to see what else you put out. Would love to see you make some from soft content! Either way, keep dishing out. I’ll keep watching them. Great progress!
For me the Game lived from the Atmosphere. The Places,Songs and the Arcade Racer Concept was just a perfect Combination.👌
The beginning of the video is just pure goosebumps. Thank u for making this video, i love to see people shedding some light on this game
I just started playing again after setting up on pcsx2 and I just reached Tokyo , man this game seems harder than when I was growing up phewww!!😅
Always appreciated how MC2 gave you distinct characters with cutscenes that were in your face & a bunch of voicelines for most situations. It had personality. MC3 was lacking in that department.

Glad they bring back the rival interaction on Midnight Club Los Angeles, but doesn't feel the same as Midnight Club 2.
I wish they'd put it back on steam. Really good video and I appreciate the effort put in. My personal favorite is midnight club 3 but i can see why you would be so fond of this game. I definitely ought to replay it soon

MC3 is a very close second for me. Will probably make a video on it at some point
im so glad another youtuber has came across this masterpiece of a game ❤
I didn't know I needed this video. This was amazing man. I just started a new playthrough 2 days ago and I also have a lot of songs from the soundtrack in my favourites list. This game is such a vibe, i swear.
Midnight club 2 was my favorite racing game I miss being able to race people for their cars to get a better car every character had their own screen time and the game was ahead of its time a huge step up from midnight club 1
Thank you for this! Easily my favorite racing game of all time.
A doing a playthrough of the game right now and its a real nostalgia trip. and everything said in this video is correct
hard as fuck
MC2! It's my favorite racing game of all time and my #4 favorite game of all time (#3 Stellar Blade, #2 FF16, #Kena Bridge of Spirits) The ambience and feeling of this game is unmatched. One of the few racing games that made street racing feel actually dangerous.
Nitrous and SST combo is goated idek you could do that, gonna link this vid in my MC2 bike guide on steam cause you perfectly summed up what they're like to use in game imo (plus you really well demonstrated the curb physics which I mention in the guide too) and your career transition slide goes hard. Great video brother.
I am at the 3rd Minute but i do really Like the "intros" you designed to go from one topic to another one and the song choice is really nice. So are the clips you used.
5:43 "Let me die." - Savo
Great video man, you summed it up pretty damn good. What an amazing game this is.. truly one like no other. Besides San Andreas Multiplayer, MC2 is the only game being a solid part of my childhood ;`) subb'd
Nice overview, I'd love to see all the players nostalgic about MC2 come together, there seems to be plenty 😊
I have two words to describe Midnight Club 2 Game "Simply Amazing!"
Great vid. Btw Thomas bangalter has a couple songs in this game too (he is the silver guy from daft punk)

yeah haha I learnt this very recently while listening back through the soundtrack
Another thing about PC is the Instant Steering with Keyboard, it´s troublesome for cars (for me) but wonderful for bikes and the only way to tailfish
belleza de juego lo amo
I love this game 😍‼️
GOATED GAME
Funny I got this recommended just days after playing an online session over Insignia, 8 player CTF is the most fun
Always agreed with this sentiment. The handling, the soundtrack and also the difficulty is what keeps us coming back to this classic. Its rewarding beating Savo, something i haven't felt in many other racing games. (Also whats the song in the background @ 1:00-2:45 lol)

There just hasn't been a racing game quite like MC2 before and after
This was my first game on disc; my mother bought me a disc in 2006. I've been playing this game for days. I still love this game, the melancholic atmosphere in it. Greetings from Russia :) Thank you for the video!
This is and will always be one of my favorite games too.
My personal favorite. It was my entry into the series serving as an alternative to playing GTA SA on the PS2. My brother and I spent countless hours as kids on this game driving around, racing, shooting and blowing stuff up using cheats on 2 player mode. Lots of fun. It would always be dark by the time we stop playing. lol
great video
fantastic video.
100th sub 💯
My favorite game of all time. Till this day!!!
It's 2024 and every cars featured in MC2 are all tastefully built.
Once my PS2 dies I'll buy the key or I should buy the key now and hope I don't have to use it
I think those FPS bugs persist at 60fps, so 30 is the way to go there on PC, I haven't observed these bugs on the FPS bugs on the Xbox version, which does run at 60, though the widescreen support isn't as nice since it's anamorphic
Surprisingly no words about fishtailing? You definitely should check what is it ;) After this, MC2 will play different colors to you!

@@AriseSG ah that's why it was tripping me up, it seemed new yet familiar and yet I couldnt place it, I think I always just instinctively skipped over it because of how odd the intro was as it doesnt seem to really fit LA
Id be happy with another midnight club game without official license cars. They could use all the GTA universe car brands but add alot more customization and better handling/tunning.
:)
Shame that this game hasn't got car customization!

They focused more on arcade gameplay than this element, the game was developed in the same year of NFS Underground which give popularity to the tuning.

When tf will this be backwards compatible on ps5 and Xbox series X

Never, Rockstar don't care about Midnight Club anymore and avoid pay the song licenses to bring it back.
Good video, but you could do better.
