just want to say something about velocity. So the velocity does not equal volume. I'd rather say that the lower the velocity is, the softer the attack gets. Of course lower attack will (especially in short sounds, like snares, hats, etc.) make the sound quieter, but then increasing the volume can create new sounds. Playing with the velocity can really chance the sound of snares or hats, make them softer or harder. Little tip: if you want to make your hats sound more natural, lower the velocity of every 2nd hit; it creates more "groove" and swing by itself. TL;DR: velocity ≠ volume hope that helps some new producers on their way! and keep up the great content man🙌🏼 (and sorry if the english wasn't good, i'm german)

@@pepe9022 Hi, in this particular case of a non multi layered sound, the velocity does equal the volume. The attack of the sample is identical across all velocity values besides the amplitude of the waveform. However, an important point you were getting at, is that on many synths and drum machines,a higher velocity will so alter the sample layering and the attack/release of a sound. So it's well worth experimenting with and finding what sounds amazing to your ears. Thanks for the comment :)

I think FL is in Belgium. He might not be fluent in French, and they may not be good at explaining their concepts in English. He could literally package these videos & sell them, but that'd minimize his mission to grab the 💰. There are tons of guys doing intricate editing, but he's actually walking you through each step and feature like he's learning on the fly and sharing it. It works!!💪💪💪
"Different people, different workflows" Just right man! I like how you don't put out your ideas and tutorials as the one truth, but rather as an opinion, one way of doing it. Very enjoyable content as always, keep it up mate!

I appreciate that. I've seen so many different minds working so creatively in a DAW, there is certainly no "One Truth" in this game :)
! TIP ! - FL Sudio now features an even easier & faster method for transposing the key of multiple MIDI Patterns all at once. Just hold down 'CTRL' (and/or 'SHIFT') and 'left-click' each (or all) of the MIDI patterns within the playlist's *'Picker Panel'* that you wish to transpose. Then, simply 'right-click' anywhere within your selection and select 'transpose' from the 'pop-up menu'. Enter the value you wish to raise or lower the pitch by in semitones (inlude a minus sign '-' before a value, to pitch shift down). This new method allows you to change the key of all MIDI Patterns in a project in seconds, bypassing the previous requirement of manually changing each individual pattern's key within the Piano Roll one-by-one.

Hi I've been watching your videos for a while and learned A LOT, thank you so much for making these kind of videos :)
Thanks for all this information on all your videos. I've watched a lot of channels and I think yours is probably the most in depth and understandable one out there. Keep up the good work! Subscribed!
I've been using FL for a while and this video is very helpful, just love it thanks bro 👌🏻

I've been using FL for a while, and I still didn't know about the 'Ctrl+B' short-cut. You are amazing as always!
your videos are of high quality. I really learnt a lot from u. thx
Was always wondering if you'd ever make a video involving exactly this. Perfect.
You're an absolute star fella!! 😊 Thanks 👍
Your videos have been a blessing for me. They are really well explained and highly detailed, always going a little beyond your main subject in the video with really nice tips, which for beginners like me is really helpful. I've been a Reason user for like 15 years or so and starting from scratch in FL took a bit of adjustment from me lol. So I just wanna thank you and say that I love your channel!
Ctrl B. Revelation! You are simply the best for the really important short cuts. Thank you.
such details.
It took me 2 month wondering about those riser, thank you Sir, for your riser making tips, love it.
Amazing content as usual 🆒🆒 Thank you much!!

Hi Michael! Love your vídeos and the way you explain everything! I started using Fruity Loops 20 years ago and we had nothing like this to get started, so nowadays this is a blessing! Thank you so much!
I’m a fervent user of Ableton Live, but I really appreciate a lot of the capabilities that FL Studio has especially with the later versions. I honestly haven’t thought of using loops for inspiration to be really helpful, and it’s something people should consider not only as a novice but in the case they hit a bit of a road block musically. Thanks a lot for the video, I learned quite a bit here! :)
This should be where I "begin again"... Again, premium stuff, very clear and helpful. Finding your channel was cool but subscribing to it is the best thing I could've done that day. Michael Wynne🙌🙌 salut man.

Thanks! I know that this video is almost a year old but I am brand new to FL studio and this helped tremendously! I've seen other videos teaching beginners but it seemed like they were not for beginners the way they taught it. But you made it very simple and enjoyable to learn. I booked marked this for future use and I also subscribed to you channel. I will defiantly be checking out some more of your videos. Thanks again!
Alright... I’ve been watching a ton of tutorials from a variety of people. Mike has been the most clear, informative and thoughtful in all his tutorials. I even use some of his analogies when I teach electronics. The visual and audio examples for engineering such as FIR and IIR as explained by Mike in other videos makes the math come to life. Thank you so much for making these!!! The best! Now I need to convince the wife for me to become a patreon supporter. =]
Hey Michael Nice, clean & informative video as always. I never miss any of your videos :) I just wanted to add a quick tip. If we want to adjust the midi notes by few semitones up or down, we can do that from the picker panel as well. Just right click on your pattern in the picker panel and select the transpose option and but the semitones values in +ve or -ve as required and you are done. Cheers!!
12:24 thank you so much for this trick 🙏🙏 It really saves a lot of time😊
Really Helpful Video ....👌👌🤗
I just want to know "what's the different" and yet I learn so much so far. thanks keep the good work dude, thanks a lot.
Your vids are great man. I'm a Reaper user but am battling to also be fluent FL20. The tip at 12.30 was EXACTLY what I wanted to know how to do. Thanks for the effort you put into these. Best FL vids I've found
Love your videos bro! Super clear, informative, and straight to the point! You have helped me BIG TIME. Now after only 3 weeks of producing, and watching maybe a total of 15 of your videos, I have a very clear understanding. I am able to jump right in crafting my sound 🙏 thanks man your videos are much appreciated

Been using FL Studio now for 9 months, and even though all these things were already known to me, I still ike the way it's explained. This way I know how to explain this to others when they would ask me questions :) Well done!
You're better than a lot of people who say they teach this program, very informative! Thank you!!
Been on Fl for 6 years. Most of this I knew but those extra tips on shifting the pitch and not having the sample speed up and figuring out the notes to a sample were pure gold. Subd
I love your channel ❤️

Great I love it Thank you ^^❤
Thank you Michael this thing with the velocity made my life a hell the last 3 months of my life made to ask everywhere what is true or what is false and what is more safe to use fls sequencer or straight to the playlist!
Bruh . . . This was so helpful! There were some little tips in here that were real eye openers for me and I think they'll make my process and workflow so much better! So far I've been just fiddling around with the demo, but I definitely think I'm treating myself to FL studio this Christmas lmao
Thank you very much, man. This is an excellent video, I'm a beginner on this software and you taught me all the basics I know now (not just this video but the others too). The positive point is that I am not an anglophone but did not need any help to translate, you speak very slowly and clearly, so non-native English speakers understand very quickly without effort. Congratulations and happy continuation
Not a new user of FL, but still learned some cool tricks. Thanks!
I have a old CPU, so I'm using one project to make the midi and export all instruments to mix in another project where I use just mix plugins like eq, compressor and things like this. Thanks for the video about your template. I didn't use it, but I learn how make my own templates. And thanks for all amazing videos that help me with everything here. 🤪
