Another huge one: press F12 once in a while. F12 helps remove lag by closing all plugin windows, which are usually still open behind other windows. So if you feel like FL's interface is a bit laggy, press F12

What do you mean? How can the quality be better by hurrying? You mean that you will finish the song by doing random things and eventually fix them at the end in the mastering? It have nothing to do with the quality of the end result. But if it is easier for you than that is another thing.
"Dump Score Log" is one of my most used discoveries these last 1-2 years, a real creativity saver! :-)

9:30 I just want to add that detaching windows also allows you to move the plugin or window to another monitor. I struggled with this for a long time and figured someone out there might be having the same problem.
Tip: Press F12 before closing your project file (do save after) to close all plugins. Makes the loading time of a work in progress project faster whenever u need to go back.
0:40 Also helps to keep the "Z-Cross" button enabled (up-left in the playlist), that prevents pops and noises when cutting audio. 13:00 Also in automation clips, the "pan" and "vol" knobs in the channel rack turns into "min" and "max" so is like an offset but with more control over the full range of movement.

Wow!!! "Layer" and "Dump Score Log" have just changed my life. Thank you!
I just bought FL a few weeks ago, and you have essentially taught me everything I know about it. Love the information, and the way you present it. Easy to follow and just amazing! Nothing but love and respect to you sir.
When you’re using bus channels, you can use alt + s to solo all the channels routed to it. Very useful if you want to listen to a single bus. By selecting multiple busses (ctrl click) you can even enable multiple busses at once!
Bro that Layer plugin tip has me shook. That’s a game changer! Especially with patcher? Yeah FL is GOAT at this moment lol Ableton is close but this is crazy 😂

Audio to Midi, layering instruments and purging unused clips is something I wish I would know so much SOONER. What a dealbreaker, thank you very much!
Wow.. Wow wow wow is all I can say... I've been watching your videos for a couple of months now, and I've seen what you have done for me personally in my production journey. I know I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to watch your videos and grow as a producer, as well as probably tens of thousands of other producers and audio engineers who come across your videos.... I don't think I can thank you enough! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Absolutely amazing.
This channel is criminally underrated, guys please share this treasure of a content creator
Thank you! One little thing I discovered quite recently was the ability to 'lock' the mute/solo state of any playlist track. You can do this by holding the Shift Key while left clicking the mute/solo button. I find this particularly useful for keeping the automation clips unmuted when I solo any track!
Thank you so much. The one that showed that go studio records in the background is so helpful and I did not know about it. Really helpful.
Just want to say thank you, as you are one of the most clear and detailed FL teachers i have come across. Really appreciate your hard work.

Excellent Michael. I started using FL Studio about two weeks ago, and I'm slowly learning every little thing there is, and everything i have learned so far is mainly from watching your videos. You are a great teacher! I even bought the Arturia Keylab Essential and Akai Fire to make it even easier for me to learn from your videos 😊😊
Love your channel so much. This video is a very useful recap of so many nice features that can improve our productivity. Was not aware of the Layers yet. Thanks a lot. And hey, your jacket looks great! 😊❤️
Another tip: Instead of using the F keys to go between windows, you can just use the tab key to flick between mixer and playlist view, but only if you don’t have your channel rack open. I find it a lot more intuitive and handy :))

There's a trick that I discovered accidentally, but it has been my favorite ever since. All you need to do is 'Press the scroll button' on your mouse and then press the 'Right Click'. Remember that this action needs to be quick and it will open up tools window to select the different cursors and even other playlist options. Do like this comment so I can know if it helped you too.
