After understanding patcher, why would I ever want to use the standard plugin effects interface? Im glad I saw tgis because I wanted to blend multiple instruments together but only use 1 piano roll for notation on the blended instruments. This is how its done obviously.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but I heard Patcher can only use 1 CPU core at a time because of how it works, and it can slow down your render time and playback time if you have a crappy processor. That answers your rhetorical question.

Just when I thought it was over, there was more! This is blowing my mind. I've always seen patcher, but never knew what it was so just never used it. What a gem! You've helped me level up! Thank you!
I cannot believe I've only just stumbled across your channel in the past week, and I've watched nearly every video you've put out. You're calm, collected and explain things in such a professional and simple manner, it's an absolute pleasure. Thank you, Michael. I've been producing for over seven years and I've been yet to find someone who is this in tune with music production, especially on FLStudio. I appreciate everything you do ♥
mannnnnnnnn ive skipped over this plugin so much. i just discovered your channel the other day bro. pure genius! thanks for the help!
Very helpful Mike, I've lost my fear of patcher now and will start using it. And the process to construct your bass sound was great, I've really struggled making good bass and kick. Thanks!
Love that someone is encouraging people to use patcher. I have used it for quite a while, and my process is basically to sound design and to basic mixing inside an instrument patcher, then render and send to mixer, where I do the final mix. Patcher is so insanely useful and great for creative sound design too. Love your work, keep it up.
Brilliant. You're very very good at explaining things. Straight to the point, with no extraneous or convoluted talk, but still step-by-step without leaving anything out. These really are valuable tutorials, so thanks a lot. The best explainerer-of-mix-related-stuff on youtube, I think.
You are awesome! There is lot of people making tutorials but does not necessarily understand that there is a lot of people wanting to hear explanations for these tools. I will never understand or exploit these tools if there were no people like you who can explain it from start to finish. Thank you man. Subscribed.

You just changed how I work, patcher was a huge blindspot of mine, after your 10 minute video, I'm beyond excited to build my instruments this way. Thanks!
I've been using FL studio for a a few years. Started with mashups, but procrastinated learning production. After like 4 years of doodling, I'm finally getting pretty creative and decent at sound design. I have run into the issue of wanting to do more to a sound, but being limited by mixer space. Thanks for making this video. I've seen patcher tutorials before, but they were intimidating. I feel pretty comfortable using patcher from now on after watching this once. You're very good at teaching concepts. Keep up the good work.

I've stumbled across Patcher a few times without realizing what's it for so I haven't even tried it. You explained it very well and kept it short and simple while still emphasizing how powerful this tool can be. This video gave me a lot of ideas and Patcher seems to be something I've needed without really knowing it!
Glad I stumbled on this video. I haven't even touched Patcher, and all it took was half an hour of messing around and this thing is going to be a primary part of my kit 100%. This thing has been sitting there forever and I never knew I really needed it. Thanks!

Quite possibly thee most beneficial video you have made. I had absolutely zero clue that this even existed. You were very easy to follow and understand. God bless you, Sir
just started recording my own guitar pickings for beats and this one was the perfect input for the workflow i was searching for. THANKS!
as someone who's completely in love with modular patching workflow, finally after 11 years, this has opened up FL studio to me in the way i really needed it. thank you so much!!
Your videos are invaluable for people learning all the way up to professionals. For real, please never stop making videos about music, you're a saint. Also lowkey your voice is very satisfying.
Man your channel is really a blessing! I didn't have any idea about how I could do some parallel processing as I was building stacks of ideas in my head. For example like a delay on the dry signal but blending it with the wet signal from the reverb I've put on. This is amazing! Thank you sir!
A friend of mine tried to explain this to me, I understood a bit. But your tutorial made all the difference, looking forward to explore more of this, Thanks a lot mate :)
I like this format! hugely informative. thanks Michael!
Ever since I heard electronic music, I've always wanted to make it so I can make songs that people can listen to and feel in an emotionally connected way. Through just messing around in FL Studio I've gotten the basics but all the different options made it difficult to move forward. I've spent the entire night watching your videos and have an infinite amount of extra knowledge and understanding of this DAW because of how you take the time to explain things as if you're talking to someone who knows nothing. I think others forget in their videos as they're clicking around all quickly that some of us have very little knowledge of this tool. Thank you for helping me continue my dream.
Wow. Now this is something more DAWs need to implement! It’s incredibly intuitive. When I saw it, I made the connection to patching in modular synthesis! I am really glad you pointed it out near the end too!
Thank you sir, I stumbled upon Patcher by accident and I thought of looking up if you had a video on it. Superb showcase of what you can do very easily with the plugin. I had no idea what it could do and in 15 minutes I got a wonderful demonstration of how simple and effective it is to use. Thank you for opening my eyes!
You are the most helpful person out of the whole music community! Plus your so talented! Today's world and society needs more of you!
Been following your channel for a while, just stumbled on this tutorial, this is fantastic! Especially when feeling too lazy Layer instruments then have to route them etc, been scared of patcher didn't know it was this easy. Thanks again👏🏾
great video...you guys make the most straightforward content, always easy to apply and understand..
I use Fl Studio for 10 years now. I've spent countless hours being confused about my own mixer routing. This video literally just changed my life. :O Thanks!!
youre so good! youre so good! lol, u explained it so well! nice sounds too, def got me inspired. the real world example helped contextualize, and the pace of the tut overall was just right imo. thanks!
Thanks bro, I was just starting to use patcher while mixing this song and I just wanted to know what the surface was but you broke down the whole thing for me, I feel like that totally just opened up all the possibilities, I'm pretty excited lol thanks.
This dude is the best FL studio tutorial guy. Quick, super informative and knowledgeable. Thank you for not wasting time with stupid costumes, meems, your mother acting a part in the video, needless sound effects, loud music playing while I'm trying to hear you, and begging me to follow you on snap face or twittergram. Great job. Keep them coming
Don't worry about the style of your tutorials. Youre basically my favourite source for those. Thanks alot!
This a game changer for adding distortion for 808's on just the highs and mixing into original audio that already had a soft clipper OMG! you changed my life with this one
First place I started making beats was little big planet 2’s creator mode.. they had the exact same process as patcher for making songs in a level, I missed it so much, I’m soooo happy you put this video out, I’ll definitely be using patcher from now on.
This is a phenomenal video, thank you for simplifying these tools that seem rather daunting at a first glance!
I know this is an old video now, but as someone that has come from reason to FL, the patcher makes a lot of sense to me, and this video was great to get me started on what will no doubt be a very deep rabbit hole. Thank you so much.
This was so informative! This workflow looks way more attractive to me than routing on the mixer, as not having the visual cues can be confusing. The guitar was beautiful! I've tried making a guitar and vocals sound that huge with just adding reverb and delay to a mixer track along with some EQ (Not even using sends, I know now that's a better way as well...) and struggled to get that type of effect. It totally slipped my mind that you want to blend a 100% wet signal *with* a dry signal. I had been just affecting the dry signal while copying it for layers and panning said layers and getting frusturated. It amazes me how simplistic some of this stuff is in music, and I find myself overcomplicating ideas.
that's awesome. I've always been a fan of patcher but needed to learn more. this video was super helpful. thank you
Thank you Michael. I've always been curious about Patcher but I was also very intimidated. You've broken it down and made me realize that it is quite straight forward.
Thank you, you gave me a glimpse of how powerful patcher is. WIth this knowledge, I will be able to gain full control of my sounds. Stay blessed.
This was so helpful! I tried patcher once and didn't really know how to start. I'm definitely gonna use this!
Didn't know something so useful was always present right from the start in FL, really glad I found this video! Thank you ❤

You are Legend! I'm a subscriber of your channel for a while since as I started learning music producing and doing research in the topic but I have had to put all aside because of personal life issues were temporarily made my creative part completely blocked, but now recovering and feeling better, somehow I managed to get back in my "zone" so I decided to refresh few things and I kept this channel with full of tutorials - for FL Studio... it is pretty rare compared to ableton - and now I'm feel like again that tiny knowledge what I have gathered about this DAW is worthless and so tiny and embarrassing and I want to learn more and more, music is like a language what we have to learn to create and a way of self expression just like human speach: when humans speak we shaping sounds and from that...words and so on.. and your tutorials gave me more tools into my inventory to help me expressing myself on a different way. Thank you! Keep up with your excellent videos!
