Haydn wrote over 100 symphonies and nearly 70 string quartets. Each being made up of 4 movements. That’s approximately 680 unique pieces of music. He also wrote keyboard concertos, trios for strings, keyboard trios, marches, dances, keyboard duos, piano trios, divertimentos, more concertos for various instruments, masses, requiems, cantatas, oratorios, operas, and even some folk music and songs*. The man single handedly wrote more original pieces of music than probably the whole of today’s top 40 put together in their entire lives. And they did it because they could simply write music as easily as I am writing these words now. They were so well educated that they could hear a piece of music in their head, with anything from one or two voices on one or two instruments, to entire orchestras playing multiple different melodies simultaneously (oh yes, they wrote polyphonic music back then too), and then simply write it down on a piece of paper as if they were writing a letter to a friend. If anything the technology would probably have slowed them down. *That isn’t even a complete list. Seriously the man must have written something in the region of 2,000 pieces of music. I can’t find an accurate figure because strictly speaking a 40 minute long symphony made up of 4 separate movements is only counted as one piece.

@@subscheme The one he used in the 10 minutes and 1 hour version is a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) known as FL Studio. I'm guessing he used a different software when mixing and mastering the track tho. hope this helps ;)

Alan is the type of guy who can make a song in 10 minutes better than I could in a life time 💀💀💀

I always find that sharing my music with someone for the first time is a very intimate moment that makes me feel vulnerable. Really cool to see Alan in that situation.

Being a young teenager, I started producing. My whole tracks were inspired by you, Alan. After a while, the harsh truth of my identity kicked in and I realized being a teenager with big dreams, from the war zones of Iraq, I should put that dream on hold and pursue something else. Sadly but truthfully, my identity has suppressed more of my dreams than anything else. But one day for sure, I will start again. Thanks for your work, Alan.

Dang I did watch this before but came back to comment on how cool you're showing us how you made these types of songs, and can understand how og Walkers feel about you creating an old Alan Walker style song like this, sounds great man, keep up the work with these songs. My personal fav from you is All Falls Down man

Great video, amazing song. Loved it when he said how his type of edm music conveys a story through sound. That's exactly what his music does for me. And his songs with vocals tell stories too. It feels like in those tracks the stories starts in the vocals but continues in the melody as well. Keep up the amazing Work Alan! And come back to Denver please!
