When a store refuses to take my returnables that they sell i count them out in front of them regardless of what they say or threaten to do, then i leave the store with what i want in that amount, leaving them the extra 10 or 20 cents, they say u have to pay for that, i say i jabe its on your counter in front of you feel free to call the police and tell them your breaking the law by not taking my cans and see what they say.....only one has called the cops i waited for them, cop took my side and i left and cop took down stores onfo to report them.

But they will charge deposit still, so the store is scamming u!

Our store is always closed. They tell us it is broken & it had been over a week now and it happens repeatedly.

Where I live Dollar General refuses to give your bottle/can deposit back even though they charge you for it when you buy the beer or pop from them.

I reported a Dollar General near me that wouldn't take bottle/can returns. I recommend you go back there and try again with clean 10cent empties of something they carry if they say then report them to the AG consumer protection if they are not complying.

In Michigan it's the Treasury Department who's in charge of bottle returns.

honestly they need to raise it to $0.25, $0.10 is not worth it for all the hassle. When they first started this is was $0.10 but adjusted for inflation that is about .50 today.

The return process is very dirty, and the machines will not accept all the cans, it will tell you its glass. Yes I used the can return. After about 10 of these "rejects" I decided that the 6.00 wasn't worth it for my time and frustration. I will be throwing them in the garbage now. Thank Kroger for that.

Bring them to the store fill up the cart and leave them in the bottle return somebody eventually I'll have them for free I don't return bottles
