Michelle Troconis sentenced to more than 14 years in Connecticut killing

In a case that captivated the nation, a Connecticut judge sentenced Michelle Troconis to 14 1/2 years in prison for helping to plan the killing of her boyfriend's estranged wife, Jennifer Dulos. Troconis' lawyer said an appeal is planned. NBC News' Emilie Ikeda reports.

    I was pleased to read your comment because, not being American- so not getting this sort of news, I had no idea whether Jennifer's remains had been found. I believe she should not be released from prison until she has served the full 20 years plus told the authorities where the remains are. I don't believe she would not know. If after 20 years she still hasn't told them- then she stays incarcerated until she does. Some States in Australia have a No body/No release law.

She did obstruct justice, 12 years of her sentence was for that The jurors believed she conspired to commit murder (so do I) she's lucky her sentence was concurrent & she doesn't have to serve 20 for that one crime alone.

    This is the typical story; some women to have a man under their arm are capable of killing and abusing their own children so this case is no surprise they do it to the vulnerable life they brought into the world then they can easily do it to an adult.     Unfortunately, the judge appears to have ignored the powerful impact statements made by Jennifer's family and friends and only gave Troconis a very light sentence given the extremely heinous nature of the crime. And notice how when Troconis spoke, she showed no remorse to the true victims of this crime, only remorse that she exposed her daughter and own family to Fotis Dulos?
