    A slam dunk contest by Jordan & Pippen in the midst of the NBA Finals; Paxson a decoy that annihilated the Lakers from 20 feet; the beauty in the becoming of Champions, what a team, what an effort, young men becoming Big Boys, Jordan becoming a Master, magnificent, there's none other like the first championship!

    Paxson was an amazing scorer, who rarely missed a shot, but in general he hit undisputed shots, that's why he needed MJ or Scottie to drag the opponents away from him, so he might shoot those undisputed shots. He had a precise role in the Bulls' mechanism.

    This was Scottie Pippen's best Finals performance ever and tied his highest playoff scoring up to that point (set the previous year against Milwaukee). He only scored more than this once (37 pts for Houston in Game 3 of the first round versus the Lakers in 1999).

    The sports media took him down with the migraine headache. Non Chicago fans didn’t vote for him as he was an all star in 1990. It’s a shame the way this story of the migraine is twisted. The man had a legitimate migraine headache caused by a hard head first fall in the court in game 6, and he still went on the court to try and help his team win.

    MJ only all star in his team in 1991 and 1998 finals, still finds a way to dominate and win, did not care about comp, he always had this mentality of fighting and winning no matter what ! LeQueen with superteams has 6 finals losses with multiple all stars, LeQueen not even top 20 all time, stop comparing LeQueen to the GOAT !

    Imagine the best game of your playoff career being 32 points - Pippen was complete trash. In the 1994 Playoffs, Pippen choked against Ewing (21.7 on 40%), and then choked again in 95' against Orlando (19.0 on 40%)... Then he averaged 17.6 on 41% for the entire 96-98' Playoffs, and 11 ppg in the 99-03' Playoffs.. So he was horrible in the Playoffs from 94-03', and also from 88-90' (culminating in the "migraine" choke - 16 on 42% in the 90' ECF).. Only from 91-93' was Pippen passable, but he still nearly caused loss in those years too... For example, he nearly caused loss in the 92' ECSF (16 on 40%) and was destroyed by X-man (19 on 50%) - Jordan had to save Pippen by famously confronting X-man at midcourt in Game 7.. The Bulls were expected to run through NY, but Pippen's underperformance nearly caused loss (same thing happened in the 98' ECF).. Any time a series was close or lost, it was Pippen's fault because Jordan never had a bad series. Ultimately, Pippen is just a low-producing bum that came along after the super-team 80's, when expansion spread the talent around evenly so 2-star teams could win.. Obviously, anyone wins alongside the GOAT in a 2-star vs 2-star format. Btw, in the 1993 1st Round, Pippen averaged 15 on 33%, while getting destroyed by both Dominique and Willis.. He also shot 45% true shooting in the Finals and caused Game 5 loss with big chokes, while letting Dumas go off... Overall, he had a 2.0 BPM for the entire 93'playoffs, with lower PER or WS/48 than 14' Wade, and lower than 13' Wade across the board (PER, VORP, BPM, WS/48). Btw, Pippen found a way to nearly screw up the 91' title too - we all remember him foolishly fouling out on a stumbling Vlade at the end of Game 5 - that would've lost the game and possibly the series, but MJ hit the tying shot to make OT, where he dominated with Pippen fouled out. It should be noted this video is Game 5, where Pippen had zero defensive responsibility (he didn't guard Magic and Worthy was out), and the series was already over.. So Pippen was just trash.. For example, Paul George was crucified for achieving peak Pippen stats last year against Denver - otoh, Pippen was never knocked for his poor production because only 1 man was held responsible for winning - MJ.

  • @fatalsniper3413

    @fatalsniper3413

    3 жыл бұрын

    Pippen wasn't trash, he just wasn't an efficient scorer after 93. There's more to basketball than just scoring, as defense and playmaking wins championships and Pippen played elite defense/was a good playmaker for his position... So he was a C on offense and an A+ on defense for his position. Meaning he's a low B+ (87) player with A+ athleticism and A+ length for his position. That's a game changer and you'll see so many offensive players total overwhelmed going up against him. You have to watch videos and hear former players/commentators rave about his defense, it's on KZread. Also, you can't compare Paul George and Pippen, since it's different eras and basketball today looks like and is officiated like a totally different game than it did then. It's catered too much to scoring and looks like a scrimmage compared to older days. One last thing give me 7 better #2s than Pippen. Then from the list you made, I bet 2 things 1. Not more than 1 of those players are from the 90s. And 2. Most of the ones on that list hat you have better than Pippen are former #1s that played as #2 to get a ring. In the 90s, #2s were actually #2s so they came with a lot of flaws as they weren't #1s for a reason.

    And who stopped Jordan and Pippen? Great players cannot be stopped, only limited to some degree. Jordan had 31 points and 11 assists those finals, Magic had 18 points and 12 assists, I think that’s pretty good job against Johnson. Whatever Jordan outplayed him easy and Pippen had the best finals series in his career.

    This video is bias in favor of the bulls. It makes it look like the Lakers were blown out when in fact it was actually a close game with the legend magic Johnson pretty much being Mr everything for his team, working with a handicapped roster. Ask Jordan and pippen and they will admit magic was very hard to deal with and held his own
