They had to add stat metrics when he came into the NBA. Scottie did so many little things the average fan wouldn't notice. Stripping balls, tipping balls, creating turnovers with head fakes, taking charges. Notice Jordan watching Scottie with 2nd squad thinking, "shit, I created a monster! He's better than ME!" Scottie wouldn't have been Scottie without Mike, make no mistake. But Mike never won a title until Scottie became Scottie. Took a few years but dayum! After they swept Detroit, he never backed down to nobody again. Ppl forget just how great Scottie was..at everything...

Pippen could be trusted to get everyone involved and not allow Jordan to shoot the ball too much.

Get the fuck outta here. Jordan led him in every stat except rebounds, and he was only more efficient because the defense let Scotty beat them while double and triple teaming Jordan. Xavier McDaniel left and he used to bully Pippen. Even with Jordan shooting bad (from zones , double / triple teams) he still scored more and contributed more across the board than sidekick Scottie. Without Jordan, the Bulls would’ve been swept with Pippen averaging 18 to 20 on 40% just like in 1994 when he didn’t have Jordan to carry him. (Don’t bring up that they went to 7 . Bulls added players to replace MJ and Derek Harper was suspended half the series)

Pippen could have been the ECF MVP here, and maybe with at least 1 individual award on his name, (he also deserve at least 1 DPOY) would keep him from being bitter as he is today.
