So does Ray Charles. So does James Brown. So does Pete Townsend. So does Freddie Mercury. So does Jim Morrison. So does David Bowie. MJ is not half the artists those guys are. Not even close. He made lightweight, cheesy dance pop. Nothing he made after Thriller, was worth listening to. His two greatest albums, Off the Wall and Thriller, were written mostly by other people & produced by the genius of Quincy Jones. He was a wussy, constantly trying to play tough like in "Beat it" and "Bad" and "Dangerous". He should have stuck to the great motown type stuff he did with the J5. Shake your Body Down to the Ground, was the only quality song he wrote, with his brother, before 1979....and then when he went solo, Dont Stop Till You get enough Wanna Be Startin Something were the only great tunes he's written pre 1983. Everything else before and after is average at best. "Beat it"? Give me a break. If not for Toto and Eddie Van Halen, nobody would care about that silly song. That was him trying to make a tough "rock" song....so, since he could not actually do it himself, other people did.

legit, he is in the Guinness records/ rock and roll hall of fame for his song writing (having wrote most his song) and dancing/ entertaining.. he composed alot of his music by first beat boxing the sound that came through his mind, then adding the music afterwards. He was involved in creative aspects of his music videos and stage concerts e.g. even the lighting had to be precise. He was a musical, artistic and creative genius.. RIP KING

Even when people ask “who’s elvis?” or “who’s prince?” they’ll all still know who MJ was. At the height of it's popularity...I worked in what was called a record store...we couldn't keep enough of this album on the shelf....at the time really didn't think that much of it.... what an incredible recording..it's all very good but I thought this particular cut stood out... thank you for the memories....
