We do but idiots ruin it. The police men who killed George should be punished and justice is beong served. What is the point to continue this. Doing this can make police less likely to act due to more rules and harsher punishments. Looting stores will take a toll as we will have to end up paying for it. More rule can make a free land more harsh and more sensitive

Here's the thing. People in the 80s didn't really listen to songs from the 40s. But here we are, 40 years later and these songs are still popular and loved across the world. The 80s were special man. Special and real.

I can feel the vibrations of my ancestors when I listen to this song. All night long. Symbolizes our struggle through the ages from climbing down the trees to dominating the earth. We need to return to nature. Our home is Africa the most beautiful continent. Can’t wait to see it soon.

It sure was my friend. I’m 64 and was 20 in 80 and a lead guitar player. The music industry controls what we hear. They don’t want love songs, happy songs, songs of hope anymore. It wasn’t a perfect decade but music soothes the savage beast. And it was so true in the 80s. Wish we could take you back to then. You would have loved it!

The 80s were SOOO special for young people. We listened to ALL genres of music just for the fun of music. From Marvin Gaye, to the Eurythmics, to Motley Crue, to Run DMC to Duran Duran, to Cheap Trick, to Michael Jackson, etc. Damn what a great time to be alive. Being a teen in the 80s was a crazy good time !

During the 80s, I thought pop songs like this one were very cheesy. But now I'm amazed how good and complex they actually were. For example African/Caribbean traditional music is awesomely incorporated into this song, and as a 46 year metalhead I love it!

I've always loved the multicultural theme of the song you have a clash of African American, Yoruba West African, and Caribbean themes. Lionel Ritchie himself created a whole new language inspired by the various languages spoken in Africa just to give the video a touch of authenticity. But I guess the 80s weren't ready for it, Marty Mcfly from Back to the future once said "I guess you guys aren't ready for that, yet. But your kids are gonna love it".

All in all kid/sir there's a lot of racism among police and they do things a lot of times without reason "to black people". YOU'S TRY TO ACT LIKE YOUR NOT BUT YOUR ARE BECAUSE IT'S SOCIETY AND THAT WILL ALWAYS BE IN THE AIR...SO EVERYONE JUST SHUT UP AND DO WHAT YOU DO...GOD WILL GIVE EVERYONE THEIR SHARE OF WHAT THEIR DEEDS WERE ON EARTH.....TRUST ME!! Long live 80s music !
Grew up in the 80s this tune was on the radio all the time, by the 90s was into grunge and alternative rock and found the 80s pop embarrassingly mainstream, now returning to these classics and appreciating the vibe, the honesty, & the musicianship.
I'm listening in 2020, this song make me feel so much happier

I remember waking up to this song in the back seat of the car as a kid on our way to Miami for vacation as the sun was rising seeing the silhouettes of the palm trees. That ride was All Night Long.
This song (and dance) NEVER gets old!!
He is beyond iconic. His music is incredible.

Yes So very true Music can heal better then a lot of book doctors can or could hope to. Music dont discriminate against one's race, gender, age just like terminal illnesses don't either. Music can tell a story an give a little bit of history as well without being dry an.boring. I listen to a little bit of everything as I can relate to some songs cuz of my time in the Navy,an working/waiting tables for 14+ yrs an I've just started bck to work in the latter part of May this yr as a server in The Iron Skillet restraunt in Petro Truck Stop/Gas Station off of I-40 heading towards Phoenix. I hadn't worked in a yr an 3 months due to this asinine pandemic, virus, scare tactic or population control or whatever ya'll want to call it as it has gone on long enough plus medical reasons. My husband introduced me to Bob Marley,Dave Matthew's Band an Creed an I like several songs from each group/band as well as from Bob Marley:)

Forty years on and the production on this stands out-- the mixing and engineering team on this deserve an award of their own. Compare to other un-remastered hits from this era and you will hear the difference. So glad to see Lionel is still partying all night long. See him if you can-- he's a national treasure.
The beginning of this song immediately brings me back to the awesome 80s!

The good old day’s! Wish we could go back! The world today is just so wrong in so many ways. The music isn’t much better either. This was music with togetherness back then
This song introduced me to Lionel Richie. Watched the video first in late 1983. What a blessing to be back here after nearly 40 years.

You're one of those people on this earth who got to enjoy the 1980s firsthand, consider yourself fortunate. The 1980s and 1990s are my favorite decades ever. It would have been nice to have been an adult in the 1980s and 1990s, but at least I got to enjoy the 1990s as a kid and then teenager. I remember the 90's very vividly but I can't say that about the 1980s as I was just seven-years old when the 1980s ended at midnight on January 1, 1990.
