Michael C. Hall about returning to "Dexter" and if he'd like to return to the role again
Ойын-сауық
Was able to have a chat with Michael C. Hall about why he wanted to return to "Dexter", how he actually went about doing it and also - if he'd like to return for a third time (after this mini series).
"Dexter: New Blood" is now out on Paramount+.
Full interview can also be read at MovieZine: www.moviezine.se/intervjuer/m....

Thanks for watching :) Some of you have asked how I was able to get the interview with only a few subs. This is my personal account and I wanted to save some of my interviews that were recored with both audio and video… I write for a big Swedish film and tv outlet - so if you happen to be fluent in my native language, you’ll be able to find hundreds of my written interviews with the links in the description. I will keep posting some of my recorded ones that are in English here for myself to remember them by… and you’re most welcome to keep watching them aswell :)

@Robert Curry His ultimate role sure but only good piece of work? Huh? Someone hasn’t seen much and is deciding to be rude for some reason.
Truly one of my favorite people to ever grace a fucking camera.

Six Feet Under and Dexter, we’ve been lucky to get him cast in both - the reason those shows became great.
RIP DEXTER. I loved these shows so much!

Only 18 subscribers and you managed to land this interview. You've either got some great connections, Michael C Hall is a very gracious person, or both. Well played which every one it was!

If you check the links you’ll find hundreds of interviews of mine, but they’re all written in Swedish. Had a few that were recorded with both audio and video so I figured I’d share them on my private channel here aswell - got 1,5 million readers at MovieZine dot se. Thanks for watching though! It doesn’t mean that Michael isn’t a very gracious person though, really felt like he was for sharing what felt like honest answers to my questions. :)

@@JonatanBlombergInterviews ah, thanks for the explanation that you are journalist in another medium. I thought you were a beginning KZreadr who pulled off a real coup. Nice of you to include the raw footage here. Yeah, your last question kind of put him in a difficult situation as he couldn’t really answer the way he wanted to without possibly spooling the finale. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome interview! What I like is you allowed him to speak mostly and ask what we want to know :) Can't stand interviewers that try to take over!

A potential spinoff series perhaps ;)
I recommend some small talk in the beginning - this feels more like a job interview but I always enjoy hearing Michael speak

Yeah, only had 5 min with him and was able to get a few extra seconds at least. No time for small talk even though it would’ve been a nice addition for sure :)
Well there goes another show that was worth watching
Why does satisfying mean death? Prison is alright. I liked the old-even more so now.
So sad watching this after the finale.
Yes but now we hunger for more seasons!
I fail to see where dead Dex, or Dexter in prison is a better ending that Dexter the lumberjack. The problem w/the season eight finale was Dexter taking the Slice of Life into the hurricane. Dexter the lumberjack left a Dexter who was tortured and alone. That was a type of punishment. I will read about the finale b4 I watch it. That way, if he dies, I won’t watch. I guess he probably doesn’t have a shower scene in his future.

I agree, I make the same argument when someone complains about the ending.
how do you get interviews with all these celebs?

I write for the biggest film and tv outlet in Sweden, but all the articles are written in swedish. A few are recorded with both audio AND video and those are the ones I post here :)
Wow, MCH is holding his cards close to the chest
I never believed the Harrison character, I wanted a twist at the end where we saw the real Harrison with Hanna living in the sun
If Dexter dies in this season, and there’s multiple seasons, my guess is that he will take Harry/Debra’s place to Harrison.

Yeah, that has been my take aswell. But since that would be the most clean cut way to go… I hope we’ll be suprised by the end. Maybe his son does something bad enough (or did on his time alone) so Dexter needs to consider having him on his table… or the other way around? We’ll see soon enough!

Philip’s said Dexter is dead. The character is. But he could return as the dark passenger. I hope so. Cos they have done him wrong. Greatly. And the writers and showrunners are to blame. To blame for not understanding their own character at all.
Great :)

~ In all honesty though, Dexter is somewhat a SuperHero. If the Father can Harness something positive from seeing his son a possible serial killer, it should be Dexter like. Hope the next series is about the son of Dexter who falls in his fathers footsteps. "The Dark Passenger" would be a great new Title for a new series ~
It was inevitable he was going to die. He had to pay for his crimes at the end of the day. It's very difficult to get a satisfactory end to this but i think what we got made sense.

Does he though? It's a TV show, they could have done whatever and spun it anyway. Considering how the books left it (only read summaries) realism ending isn't really the only option. Plus his killing has been framed like an addiction plenty of times. Does an addict deserve to get done in by their addiction or to get some kind of help for it? I've been doing a rewatch of the whole series, definitely doesn't hold up as well for me, not even the "best" seasons, but what I do notice is he had continual character growth throughout. They just kind of go back on it, but then again, so did the Season 8 ending.
the ending its good but not great
Micheal C be lying here. RIP Dexter.
