I hope the ending is open-ended, ambiguous, confounding. I don't need closure. I don't want closure. F**k closure. And I don't get these "fans" who want to see Dexter killed in the end. After years of rooting on this avenging angel, why would you wish such a fate on him? That's just weird to me.

Not to mention killing the main character isn't internet breaking or anything new. Killing Dexter would be an awful ending, no matter how it happens.

i actually loved Dexter's finale. And I loved much more to have him back!!!

I'm both happy and sad. I mean.... the original ending was "fuck this shit, I don't want anything anymore" then the series came back and it was so surprisingly good that I want more. so, right now I'm just hoping for a kind of ending that allows for more Dexter in the future. lol.

Now we need a redo of the last 30min. New New Blood. The whole season was amazing up until he asks for a water. Could have lasted another few seasons and Batista killing or capturing him in the end. What could've been!

There's literally no evidence against him being BHB. Angela can have all the thoughts she wants. If you think she can build a case and all that shit in 1 episode it will be bad.

I just wanted an ending that feels right so I can go back n watch the series again as a whole and have an ending that concludes Dexter's story in a way that feels natural to Dexter's story. I think having Dexter exposed as a serial killer in some way and vindicate Doakes. Dexter would probably feel better knowing he's exposed. I just want an ending to his storyline that works for the story. Dexter should be exposed n he should pay some price for his actions cause otherwise why have an ending at all... I think Dexter greatest fears should come true...anyways I love Dexter I just hope we get an ending that feels right

I've enjoyed new blood so far but it all comes down to the ending to see if it an great season or a good season

No this is the ending he deserve. Thank to you but i think scenarist has some problems with one of the most loved character. This is my ending: Dexter escapes from the cell, but does not kill Logan, just knocks him out. Dexter and Harrison meets in the woods and they escape. As Dexter said, they live in Los Angeles. Dexter is maybe 60 or older. Harrison becomes a normal and good person. Dexter never kills anyone again because he is happy with his son, and he hasn't killed anyone already for 10 years. The scene comes to Harrison's wedding ceremony. There, Dexter imaginatively sees or remembers himself and Rita. After Harrison's wedding ceremony, Dexter returns home alone at night, walking down the street and is attacked by several thieves, stabbed in the stomach during the fight, but kills them. He sees the people he caused of death while crawling on the ground, Rita, Doakes, La guerta, when leaning against a wall in the street His father says Dexter you did good, and Debra is holding his hands. Dexter dies. Later, Harrison identifies the body at the morgue. Also, the FBI detects that the body is a wanted person from the fingerprints and interrogates Harrison. Harrison tells it all. How many people and why his father killed and who is the Bay Harbor butcher, what kind of life he lived and what hardships he had. Harrison is released. In the days that followed, Dexter is referred to as a hero on television and in the newspapers. Harrison goes to his grave to commemorate him on a rainy day a few days later. A close-up of the tombstone shows his name, date of birth and death, and maybe an extra note. The camera goes up. Then we see Harrison from front and a little higher up and see that there are hundreds of people behind him all wearing paper Dexter masks.People filled the streets then everyone looks up to cam , theme music, end... and the hero got the respect he deserved.

He dies in the books as well. I’m the books he gets knocked unconscious falling into the water. The only problem is that dexter isn’t a hero, he is a serial killer. He has broke the code multiple times in the original show. He killed a man in the bathroom after Rita’s death who wasn’t a murder or a criminal. He planned on killing the lieutenant. until deb intervened. Dexter Himself knows he is a monster after rewatching the og show you can hear him state it multiple times. Dexter was meant to die after season 4, Clancy was going to have him go to death row. People don’t want to accept that dexter’s death is poetic. It was reminiscent of the scene where deb had to choose who to shoot.

My "right," ending would be for Dexter to be caught. And who will nab him? Detective Michael Soderquist!

That would be hilarious indeed 😂 if the last episode is about soderquist getting suspicious of dex and digging to find he is the Bay Harbor butcher and track him down that would definitely be something no one would expect to happen. And didn’t phillips say it would be mindblowing?

Omggg yess I was sooo hoping for this type of finally if he did die in the last episode I just can’t believe it was his own son who killed him !!! He loved Harrison

Best ending would be for Dexter and Harrison to escape to Canada or Brazil together and live a relatively normal happy life .

I just wanted Bautista to confront Dex for killing doakes and laguerta 😢

I'm watching the final episode tonight. I'll be very pissed off at the producers if Dexter Morgan is killed off . Long live Dexter .🔪🔪

If dexter would not kill again and help police with solving murders and helping Harrison with his wanting to hurt people. Living a happy life with Harrison

The new ending is worse than the season 8 ending. Great season up until the last 15 minutes.

This didn’t age well.

They definitely didn’t want a finale that “pleases people”.

Harrison killing dexter was awkward and stupid, I think it would have ended better with dexter going to prison and being praised as a vigilante 😅... id love to see how he survives in prison.

Love ya Michael C Hall for Dexter but the ending was worse than S8.

How could these writers be sooooo out of touch with the audience they cultivated for 8 yrs.....seems like they enjoyed sticking it to their fans after developing a lovable character who NOBODY I KNOW wanted anything CLOSE to this ending...was soooo pissed....this was actually WORSE than the 1st miserable endind.....how do you screw up THIS BADLY TWICE???????????

Dexter New Blood was so disappointing. Except for Dexter and his son, the other actors were definitely not in the same league. Music and voice over, which made the original Dexter, were under-used. Dexter's son had a mean streak (framing the innocent outcast teenager at school he initially befriended) and don't start me on the ending, it was even crappier than the original's series ending. Last but not least, production values were nothing like Dexter's. Compare some amateur shooting a series on his Iphone to a Hollywood superproduction. The serial killer was not even scary. Come on! You can do better than that!

No one was Satisfied with that damn ending!!! Fuckin sucks because this show is gonna go down as having 2 BAD endings!! Just reshoot the last 15-20 minutes of the last episode and have Batista catch him and bring him back to Miami…. This ending was Awful!! 2 awful endings… sucks cause dexter was a good show… but it won’t be remembered FOR that!!! Just plain stupid….
