Lou Reed told Elvis Costello on his show that Doc pomus wrote it on his wedding day while he was wheelchair bound watching his new bride dancing with the other guests. Pomus had polio and at times needed a wheelchair. I’ve always loved that part of the story of the song so much so I had to share. Michael does it beautifully.

Man, I adore this guy! He’s got a beautiful voice and a beautiful ❤️!!
