exactly! This was clearly the wrong song for him so on XFactor they would've stopped him and told him to sing another song also, they would've asked him about his age and they'd understand that his vocals is too good for a 17 year old.

The mom went well out of her way to interrupt a mans show just to let him know her son can sing! I get to some degree why she did it but I feel like it was more of an over reaction because he wasn’t bad. Especially after all that commotion she made to interrupt his concert

I'm still angry at his mother. He was not prepared at all, he has nice voice but no technique. I am a singer, and it breaks my heart seeing how such a nice voice was not in it's potential to perform on TV.

Wrong song totally for his voice. He growled way too much. He can sing, but I think nerves and a pushy mom overshot this one. Feel bad for him.

I particularly like The Voice UK because the coaches actually take the time to coach.

Unfortunately, they can only judge what is tho, ya know? Prob w/ a different song choice = different outcome. This one tho, could REALLY tell how nervous he was. Maybe because of nerves + the song... in many places tbh... he was quite off-pitch too. Hopefully, if it's what HE wants (not his mom) he's been practicing, maybe even taking some lessons to bring it up just a notch when it comes to relaxing & pitch... & can try again w/ a better song. :)

Song choice is a huge factor in a great performance. It also sounded like he wasn’t projecting his voice enough and then he realized that and then projected it too much. It’s not at all to say that it’s a bad song because it’s a great song but not for his voice. To me it sounded more Karaoke but you know he can sing if you’ve seen his video with Michael Buble. I think if he kept at it and found what songs are more compatible with his voice and range, he’ll be able to easily make it in the music industry.

Nice job Sam. You do have a good voice- I think there’s a lot of potential there. Don’t give up!!!! We’ve got your back.

When we played this song at a concert with 120 musicians (combined from 3 orchestras), our singer was amazing too. I think he was disabled (blind and, not sure if deaf too) but damn he had a voice.

I just have so much respect for the kid for the courage he has to do stuff like this. I’m not a fan of his singing but I’m a fan of his courage

As someone who loves to sing myself (as evidenced by my own videos), I do wish Sam all the best. I don't think this song showcased his voice as well as something like a jazzy / crooner type song would have. Definitely hope he keeps on singing and maybe look into some vocal coaches to help find his own style if he hasn't already. He's still young and has plenty of time to keep getting better!

Don't worry if he keeps working hard in future he will become a good singer and for that he doesn't need to get selected in the voice.....in india i know a singer who had a superb voice but got rejected in a music show and guess what he is one of the best singer's in india RN....his name is jubin nautiyal
