So so happy

I've had lots of issues with my miaomiao2 and now it has finally stopped working. It has now been sent back to be replaced but I'm not feeling very hopeful about the next one being any better! I would love to give the bubble a shot as I'm a newly diagnosed T1 and the CGM had saved me from having to change career that I love and have spent many long years building up! Thanks for all the great videos as its allowed a newly diagnosed to understand the market and what's available being so new to it 👍

So glad to see a comparison review between all three! I was leaningmore towards the Bubble, but I'd actually love the Miaomiao 2 as being quite active the calibration function, better stickers and being able to charge whilst wearing seem more suitable for me. Fingers crossed!

Hi Tom. Very informative video. Thank you. Having had a sensor knocked off, I immediately thought the Bluecon looked too tall. I’ve had the Libre 1 since late July after 30 years of fingerpricks to relishing getting my fingertips back! Out of the other two, I’d be hard pressed to chose between them so if I was lucky enough to be a winner I’d graciously accept either. Having taken on board your advice about pasta, this is an area I still struggle with so the CGM would be an added weapon in my quest to conquer it! Hello Tom, I've been Type 1 for nearly 45 years and the Libre Sensor was the first game changer for me and I have been using it for only 6 months and it is 100% self funded. I have seen your video about the Libre Sensor 3 but here in Australia we don't even have the Libre Sensor 2 yet. I feel that the Miao Miao 2 would be extremely beneficial to my Health Care Plan and even if I an not successful with the Competition, I think that I will still purchase one as the features of it suit my current lifestyle to a tee. can you give a link for the circular bandages to keep from knocking the libre off? I have been searching on amazon and I cannot find any. I found like a single circular bandage for $12 US dollars which is ridiculous

I live in the USA and cannot select adult on the miao miao website. If I can get it for adultin USA must I buy the reader and the transmitter and hold ... etc or just the transmitter?

You have saved my life!!! I watched your you tube video about Libre sensor placement as the adhesive on my Omnipod has brought me out in a rash. So I took your advice and tried under my arm. (I can only use my right arm for pods and sensors due to having a mastectomy and removal of lymph nodes on my left side earlier this year) I fought so hard to get a libre with my diabetic team, as I thought the libre was a CGM. So in summer I was in a car accident, and the stress from all that has affected my skin as I am now allergic to the adhesive. However, placement under my arm has worked, as my skin under there is perfect. Your you tube videos have been very helpful and I will continue to listen to them all. So, if I get selected I would love to try the Miao Miao 2 or the dark night one in fact any really Thank you for your videos

I entered your last competition with the miao Miao 2 and sadly wasn’t lucky that time! I’m really keen to try ANY of these options because my control is so good during the day, but going high or low overnight ruins my time in range. Having the alerts would be a game changer! I’m a recent subscriber and I’ve enjoyed the time and research you’ve done for your videos. They’ve become an invaluable resource for me when using the Freestyle Libre. I’ve consistently had issues with my sensor falling out long before the end of the 14 day period so I was ecstatic to find your tips and videos. After seeing this video I’m on the fence about which to choose. I think I’d like to try the Miao Miao 2 (or the Miao Miao 1). My endocrinologist and I both wanted a CGM for me but alas, health insurance kicked up a fight and we dropped the issue and went with the Libre.

has anyone else had issues with blucon getting a reading? i just started a new one with my libre 2 and it says connected however every time it tries to do a reading it says 'patch read error' i wrote to Ambrosia and they said it doesn't work with the Libre 2 which isn't true from everything i've read online.

Thanks for your video. In other video you mentioned that we have to leave the sensor hole free because is used to balance the temperture and humidity. Do you know how miaomiao sensor handle this? thxs

Yes, correct. The manufacturer says that the whole should not be covered. Still, personally, I did not have an issues while using a third party transmitter. Hope this helps!

Type One Talks thanks a lot for your answer, actually I’m using cavilon or skin tac wipe to reduce irritation in my skin but in both cases I experience skin problems even though we have being changing it at 7 days (not 14 days as recommended because of this problem) when I have to replace the sensor. I’m trying to figure out if this is because the daily temperature or the thirst party transmitter. It is my first season in summer to deal with it. I would really appreciate your advice. Thxs and congrats for your site.

@@TypeOneTalks I have had Type 2 for 25 years and don't know any hacks. I have the Libre 14 Day and my meter is always low by about 30 points. I'd love to be able to use the Miao Miao 2 to calibrate it and have it wake me and my wife. One morning recently, she work up to my groaning. She couldn't wake me up and had to call the paramedics. They gave me glucose and I recovered nicely. What a wakeup call!!

Why does my Libre 2 not work with my MiaoMiao 2 ? Please help - I'm lost

Really useful video, still a bit undecided but I do a lot of exercise so the Miao Miao 2 looks good for me! Even if I don't win the information has been really good! Thanks Tom

About 3 weeks ago I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Then I got the Libre 2, which is an enormous relief for life and also brings a bit of quality of life with it. A few days ago I became aware of the Ambrosia Blucon and I have to say that I like it very much. If I could choose between these 3 sensors I would take the Blucon.

Tom after listening and reading many comments regarding 3rd party transmitters I would go for the MM2. After being diabetic for over 10 years with little to no control the freestyle libre has got my HBA1C down from 89 to 55 over the last 9 months. Having the continuous glucose levels at hand on my phone and watch would hopefully get me even tighter control. Thanks for all your videos and the continued information they provide.

Just started using maiomaio 2. I am down to 78% battery with 12 days left. Is it just power hungry in the first few days? I made sure it was fully charged before using. Has anyone else experienced this?

My experience with Blucon Nightrider has been great. My mother has been using it for past few months and she is able to manage her glucose level and diet easily. Their food insights option is extremely helpful. I can share my reading with my 5 loved ones.

Nightrider BluCon is not my favorite but thanks for sharing.

My mom had been a type 2 diabetic for more than 2 decades, but recently, it had been a challenge to keep her fluctuating sugar in check. Her sugar drops dangerously low sometimes in the early morning, then swings to high after eating her meals. It has been a constant struggle to manage her sugar throughout the day. Having a Freestyle Libre has changed her life, but having an alarm to alert us when the sugar goes too high or too low would definitely be a life saver. Appreciate the comparison video, we'd love to have the MiaoMiao 2 please! Thank you for the hard work you put in on all your videos. Looking forward for more great content. Hi, doesn't Miao Miao 2 create problems with the sensor, considering that it cover the little hole in the middle of libre? (in another video you told that this part shouldn't be covered)

Hi Marco. Thanks for your questions. I did not have an issue with MM2 in this respect but (for full transparency) the official recommendation from Abbott (the Libre manufacturer) is that the tiny whole in the middle of the sensor should not be covered.

It seems the response is not as easy as I thought. I am not 100% sure but if the information I collected is correct MM1 works with Libre 2 if you use the Tomato app except for the US. I'd kindly ask others to correct me if I am wrong as I have this info second hand and did not test MM1 myself yet... Thank you!

I'm also using the Nightrider with my Libre pro sensor and quite happy. We have a group of 500 diabetics and majority of the people are using Nightrider.

As always grate talk Tom. We are using bubble and you are right the stickers are not the best but I can't complain this small device is really life safer... good battery life and the alarms of low and highs glucose giving us much beater control. This is only because you my friend ... you are let us won this device last time Thank you. Keep going what you doing. Respect to you.

Great comparison, thank you, but one thing I would add: DON’T make the mistake I made when choosing the Nightrider. If you decide on the Nightrider because of the direct link to Apple Watch then be aware that this is very limited. It won’t work without a network connection - No good to me as a kite surfer and sailor and mountain bike rider who is often not getting network connection. Also it won’t work at all with a Series 4 Watch, which I have, or lower. I’ve gone back to simply using the high and low alarms going directly from my libre 2 to my iPhone (in an Aquapac in my wetsuit) sending the signal to my Apple Watch. Works fine in warning me to take action as and when necessary. 😀👍

Hello, out from what i have seen, the bluecon waterproof, might be the best option for me :) Also, i love your videos, gives a lot of information, that people can use. Maybe speak a little more around the adhesive on the different devices, have they become better over time? Are most of them somewhat waterproof? or just splash proof?

Hi I am using blucon and its working great for me and I dont have to worry about pricking myself everytime and easy to share all information with my doc

When I first tried MiaoMiao 2, it (or something else) killed my Libre sensor a week after application. As I was experimenting with this new device I had continued scanning my Libre regularly to compare numbers with the MiaoMiao and I wonder if that is what caused my Libre to expire so quickly. Since then I have only scanned the Libre minimally when using the MM2 and everything has been fine. I do find sometimes the MM2 can come unstuck from my skin and I have to tape it on to keep it attached. Last week while out shopping the MM2 and Libre completely lost its anchor after 2 days (it hurt a little too!) and stopped sending info to my phone so I had to remove them and replace the Libre sensor. Apart from these incidents I’m really impressed with both devices. I just have to get a grip on how to use them effectively. Tom, thx again for yet another excellent video x

I stumbled across this channel as I'm trying to find the best solution with an Android phone / smartwatch and found it extremely helpful. One question that I can't seem to find the answer to is how do you find it charging and managing so many devices including replacing the sensor every 14 days, recharging the battery, phone, and smartwatch. I manage somehow. Three charges next to by bed all the time:) I have to say it's annoying at times but I think I got used to it. My hope is the technology will keep improving and it will become easier to charge all these gadgets wirelessly. Wishing you all the best!

I tried all the tree transmitter and had skin rashes with Bubble and MiaoMiao. Blucon is very suitable as it doesn't touch my skin and have more features than Bubble and Miaomiao

Just got mia mao 2 and it’s working very well but the battery lasted for 10 days . The cable is not long enough for me to charge while it’s applied.How do u do it ? I couldn't say enough to praise the customer service of Bubble enough. My first Bubble died at 10: 30 one Monday night. I left a message on facebook for Bubble so they would get it first thing in the morning. Bubblan got straight back to me and really tried to help me sort the problem out...he couldn't do it. Within a week or so I had a new one. I was really impressed.

Which better to deal with libre 2 ? Tomato or xdrip ?? I had miao miao 2 with libre2 the problem the sensor cut signal and the chart is cutting from libre 2 but miaomiao 2 still working . The problem with libre2 the signal cut and I had to wait 10min to 5 hour some times for the sensor to get scan check again !!! Is this issue common or only with me ?

And I tried 5 sensor of libre 2 but the same ... how I solve it if I remove the miaomiao2 not just unbind it ... remove it all .then the libre2 sensor work properly... is libre 2 effected by miaomiao2 ?

Haven't used xdrip, only Tomato. I share my experience in the video about Miao Miao.

Tom, love your video as always and you give the good facts. I would love to get a MIAOMIAO2 or any really, I am currently working on training my puppy to be a diabetic assistants dog, hard work but will be amazing if she is able to help me.

My miao miao 2 ended up in the washing machine, we took it apart got the batteries cleaned and it works, but it's not waterproof anymore. I could really use a new miao miao 2 Thanks🥰

I had a horrible experience with Blucon. I had to send it back to their lab... it was lost on the way back. Bought MM instead and I am a happy camper. Steady and reliable. Ever since, I am recommending MM to type1 community in my country (should have requested commission for that :). Btw, I use MM1. I used Blucon first generation in the past. I do caliberate frequently. No issues with battery life or connection (i have connection issues twice a year with MM1, as oppose to at least once a week with Blucon in its fitst generation).

Would love to try out the miao miao 2 like to listen and read your info on these products

Maiomaio would be best. Thank you for all the info I'm a new libre user. I have type 2 and have real problems with lows. I've been fighting to get help since august. So far the libre is wonderful but I'm told I'll never get the Libre 2. Hard this would help with the liws while I sleep. Thank you gor your videos. Helped do much.

I have a question maybe someone can help with. The reason I am buying a bubble is to be able to read my bS on my Apple Watch. The Apple Watch I have is series 6 (without cellular). Can I get the readings in my Apple Watch if it is not cellular?

Hi Norman. Yes you can but you need to have your iPhone on you. It will not work without the phone around. Hope this helps.

Hopefully not! It would not work with the 3 because of different size anyway I assume.

I tried to restart the sensor at day 13.9 of its lifetime by using diabox but it broke the sensor and gives message says Your sensor is defective and can not be restarted do you solution for the problem

Hi, I use blucon and to attach it on free style libre I use velcro like lozenge size 20mm (tried 16mm one from velcro but was too small, 25mm works and stick strongly) It did no made the Libre to fall down and and I can do what I want, it does not fall. You can even detach the blucon from libre if you need and put it again, I am not using waterproof one, just take care when doing it.

Hi from Macedonia 🇲🇰 Excellent video. As newly diagnosed (February 2020, when corona hit my country) videos on your and similar channels really helped me! 💙 I would really like to have any of those transmitters. Since I live in restricted region and can't download libre app (so I can not scan with my phone), it would be great to have my readings on the phone. Subscribed, liked, shared. I would preferre MM2. Ciao! :)

Hi there Thom. I love your videos they are so informative. I'm Type 2 and on a tight budget. I have a android phone and a libre 14day US. Since Miao Miao 1 and 2 do not yet work with libre 14 day US I would love to have the bubble if I am a winner. I have been plagued with going hypo since the covid pandemic and need a devise with an alarm. Thank you for your videos. I am an advid subscriber.

My 14 year old son has been type 1 over 11 years and I think from your (very detailed) description that miaoMiao2 would be the best one for him, we’d love to win one to try it!! I’m interested though to see if the bubble sticks better with the new stickers as it looks less likely to catch on things.

As an endurance runner, the miao miao 2 sounds like it would be the sensor for me as I could also download the app to my Garmin watch

Tom you make some great videos and I am learning all the time as a T1D. The Libre Sensor (v1) has been a god send to my diabetes management in rural NZ even I have to fund it. I would if possible I think for me the MiaoMiao 2 would be the best fit for me due my paranonia of the device falling off. The MiaoMiao 2 seems the the best option without too much fuss. If I am lucky. could I put my name in the hat for the MiaoMiao 2 please.

I've been fighting with the BluCon 2 for the L2 censors. So far it has not been a great experience with batteries dying very quickly. It started with every 5-6 days, and I'm now at changing batteries every 12 hours.
