If you get chance go for a drive to coaldale on the great Pacific drive ( amazing) and call in at Rosie's fish and chips ( proper cooked in beef dripping, Yorkshire style) amazing views as you drive there via royal national Park. 👌

You can see why that place has won awards. I think that fish looks stunning. Especially the crispy batter. Great stuff.

*MY UNCLE* used to be a government liaison officer at the small Aboriginal community in Lockhart River, Far North Queensland. I went and stayed with him one school holidays and had the best seafood of my life. Some locals went spearfishing and caught 6-7 large lobsters which they gave to the local teacher's wife. She steamed them in seawater and served them on a bed of mangoes picked from the giant tree in their back yard, and cut into cheeks. Your enjoyment of those fish'n'chips just reminded me of that simple but special meal. _Viva electric cars!_

Fabulous that you finally get to experience good Australian fish and chips. It really does come down to the quality of the fish. As a Queenslander I am more used to tropical fishes off the reef, and sometimes there are big surprises. I once had Sickle Fish in Cairns. Not a usual commercial fish species, but I still carry the memory of how good that fish was. Talking about food with eyes, my father's most memorable fish meal was in Sydney's Chinatown. A restaurant that is sadly no longer there, but it was a place where it was rare to see Caucasians, but always full of Chinese. A good sign of quality. My father ordered fish with ginger. When it arrived it was the whole fish (complete with eyes). I still remember enjoying how much he loved eating that fish. I seem to remember it was Sweetlip caught off Norfolk Island and flown in same day. It took up a huge oval plate. There is good cold water fish to try in Tasmania, but my favorite is generally mackerel caught fresh off the Great Barrier Reef. Generally, tropical fish is a greater taste sensation than cold water fish. It is easy to find very ordinary fish and chips, but when it is good, usually cooking fish fresh off the boat, Australian fish and chips is superb. But it does take time to discover which fish is best to order, and what are the regional specialties. Barramundi in Sydney, for example is not as good as fresh caught Barramundi in Queensland. And mackerel caught off the jetty at Palm Cove in North Queensland, and cooked within the hour, is worth crawling through broken glass to get to. As they say, your taste buds will thank you.

A touch of high class dining there Lee. What a beautiful looking place and the food looks high class. A bit out of your comfort zone I felt Lee especially at the start until the food came they it was an enjoyable experience for you. The ooh and an aah always gets a laugh. Not heard of that “throw a ball to the kerb” phrase before!

Many years ago we went to a posh fish restaurant in San Francisco. Menu featured Fish and Chips, so we ordered that. At which point the waiter rolled his eyes and said "what a surprise the brits go for the Fish and Chips (with no hint that he was joking or teasing) so we got up and walked out

The spice rub that came with the warm table bread is often called 'Dukkah' you dip the bread in the chilli or pepper oil very lightly then press the bread into the crumbs of dukkah to make it stick. Im glad tou went posh !!! My partner used to be the seafood supplier of choice for Garfish , bistro Moncure and many of the other top seafood restaurants around the eastern suburbs.. Glad trip is going well.

What an Honor to have the pleasure of seeing this Beautiful and Honest Relationship between two of the Top class U Tube Channel Producers come together and have really Good time and Great Banter and cheering the viewers up. A Superb Seafood restaurant it was. Fish & Chips and the most Gorgeous Curry i have ever Witnessed on a Food review. This is to Special to score, but if i did. I would use Darren Johns Special phrase for this Feast of Excellent Quisine. Cor blimey mate!!! This is Off the Charts!!!!!!!!!! What ever the price of this meal actually came to paying the Bill at the end. It would have been worth every Dollar. You should Compliment the Chef and the Amasing Food and Beverage Servers that looked after you Gentlemen. Give them something for drink each, that is what i normally do, when i have had a Good meal and Great Customer Service. I thoroughly Enjoyed and Loved this Excellent Film with Beautiful Relationship. Thank you very much Gentlemen.

The Car Connoisseur and The Fish & Chip Master. Great stuff. That food looks amazing. I hate to think how much the bill came to, but I expect it was worth every penny. Many places claim to be the best in the world, but this restaurant probably is. 11 out of 10, and triple thumbs up from me 👍👍👍

Should make a point of asking what oil is used in the frying of fish and chips especially if they're good. In recent years I've somewhat gone off fish and chips because so many shops these days use cotton seed oil because it's cheaper. Disgusting stuff that has your digestive system wishing it hadn't indulged in it. 🤢

When MGuy was taking a shot of you Lee for the thumbnail if I was him I would have said to the waiter "don't worry about him he's from Barcelona".
