I'll suggest any traces of British or Scandinavian ancestry in former Spanish America are also coming from this source.

Como anécdota, están registrados en archivos del año 1600 en San Agustín (florida) gastos para una celebración popular en honor de San patricio y en 1601 la primera procesión en honor del santo, promovido por el sacerdote irlandés Richard Artur.

The majority of Andalusian Muslims fled to America and today they are Colombia in those areas When the Spaniards took control of Granada, they followed them, so they went there I think that the Brazilians are the indigenous people of America or the Amerindians

@Cherunabogu actually some did become slaves if they didn't convert to Catholic. Most were Navigators who had already traded with Incas and Mayans. They ruled Spain for hundreds of years before Isabela and Ferdinand gained dominance.

The Moors ruled the Iberian Peninsula prior to Isabella and Ferdinand. Alhambra anyone? The Age of Exploration? Where were people when history was being taught?
