These tips and tricks apply to anyone running methanol, awesome job. The filter info is EXTREMELY helpful to someone running Mechanical injection. Plugged nozzle = burned piston

Appreciate this video Thanks! I've been looking at material choices for a custom water/methanol tank and had been looking at 316L stainless as my only option, but I will now investigate aluminium anodised...

Great video Devin. On my car which I run methanol also I actually have my pump mounted behind the front passenger seat next to the frame rail. Haven't had any issues with fuel starvation. I also run a filter before the pumpbut after watching your video there I might remove it. I do run a 10 micron filter after the pump. That's a good tip there to put a ball valve in the vent hose.Oh as far as the oil goes I've been using Lucas 50 weight and haven't had any methanol contamination yet. I heard that Brad Penn is very good. The top lube is definitely a must. I also heard from a couple of friends that you should not put tight 90 degree elbows anywhere between the fuel cell and the pump.

Holy cow I'm In way over my head. Was thinking about buying a 416 stroker Silverado that is set up for running methanol but damn sounds like I need to stick to my stock daily driver until I learn more. Either way I enjoyed the video I learned a little as much as possible with my limited knowledge

Good idea on the oil pan heater, completely forgot about that part! Would you ever do the fuel transition from gas to meth if you had the proper tank/ pump for the different setups? That's been one of the biggest things I've wanted to do but never see anyone do meth and gas....just eth and gas

Hey Devin, great videos! Shadyside racer here, 436 sbf 94mm on methanol, what oil temp would you start the motor at with the heater blanket to kill some of the moisture? And how often would do oil changes? Hope to meet you one day, you're very knowledgeable!

Great Information, I had nothing but problems with BA injectors. What's your opinion with filling / running it on 93 before storing it for short time 1 or 2 wks at a time.

When you switch between your fuels is there a certain cleaning procedure you do in order to not have any fuels mixed?. Is it as simple as drain the cell of alcohol then fill up with 93 and you’ll be fine?

Any EFI tuning tips for methanol? I’ve been running a bracket car with toilet injection for some years, and would like to try out EFI. Was looking at starting with a Holley Super Sniper setup with my belt drive pump.

Hey bro, so I just finished my engine and twin turbo kit install in my 2001 mustang gt, engine is in turbos are in. Just finished the return full fore innovations fuel system has a 10an feed and a 8an return anyways I want to purchase a Holley terminator set up wondering what to even buy and ya, I know my car is gonna make well over 1200hp min, twin 67/66 turbos. Mmr 4.75 stroker engine built off a teksid block 9.5.1 compression ratio, gonna do a 93 tune then a e85 tune also has water meth kit. The engine was actually taken all apart and I replaced pistons and rods and kept the crank since the crank is able to push up to 1500hp!!, went with custom made diamond pistons and are capable to handle 2000hp rods I went with some strong boostline rods. Was going to go Manley i bean but I think the weisco boostline is a 2000hp rod!

What makes you think that the crystals that form have any external oxygen required? Given anodise is aluminium oxide, the oxygen is already there.. Why do you think lifting a sealed tank off the floor prevents water from getting in? Sealed is sealed, no water is going to get it whether its cold and damp on the outside or not.. seems like a lot of things you are doing are based less on science than just something you are assuming works, you haven't had any issues with so continue to do - but I feel like a lot of it is unnecessary or work for a different reason than you think. Also, welding grade alloy sheet doesn't anodise well so I wouldn't assume your local shop is shit, more that the decorative quality of anodising on sheet alloy is not great. Functionally, fine, but not great looking.
