He uses triggers now! It does home justice cuz when he plays fast double bass ...in the past a mic wouldn’t do home just cuz the kicks would disappear in the mix.

Any time they've played Dyers Eve, Lars wimped out on the double bass. While his double bass has improved recently, I suspect he wouldn't do it if they played Dyers Eve now. At his age, I'm not sure he could even do it. That's a lot of really fast double bass for most of the song.

this is actually one of my favorite hardwired songs now. shame that it wasnt part of the main 2 cds. imagine this song (with the intro) opening all of hardwired

James Yates I think it was kept off because the theme doesn’t fit the theme of the album, but also people already knew the song from when they released the (inferior) first pass version a couple of years earlier.

Not technically a hardwired song, it’s a single they released a couple years prior to the making of hardwired. They just re-recorded it and through it in on the bonus disc.

It’s funny because you say that because this song has a major ride the lightning vibe, and the closest song it reminds me of off that album is trapped under ice!!

Well this double bass pattern is at 160 bpm .... Dyers Eve it's almost 200 . And as a drummer i can tell you , the faster you want to play the harder you have to practice . I think that if they want Lars to play the double bass in Dyers eve , they need to slow it down a bit .

his voice is better right now, they are also better. i started to listen them just 3-4 years ago, when they were young they were like teenagers. now they are true metal heads.

No band sounds better than these guys man the sound is always incredible especially in today's day and age

Most parts of the vocals are really very good in the song, but in the second verse James struggles a lot with the high notes...! Still, I love how he sings for many years. Quite clear and most of the time he gets the high notes across well!

The sound quality is absolutely fucking amazing.
