Bob Marley was a revolutionary, a lot of his songs were about freedom and stuff like that witch he used to inspire the ppl of Jamaica to revolt against the ppl oppressing them, he actually got shot because of it once during a murder attempt but kept on going and had a song called “rat race” witch had “Rasta don’t work for no CIA” in the lirics. He was a great man with a lot of great music and a very interesting story.I would love to see more reactions about his music.

As a long time reggae and Marley listener Im so happy I found this video. Reaction videos can be either worthless or forced, or very enjoyable to see someone else's take on a certain thing. I'd say you do it the right way, your reactions are genuine and you have a nice balance of commentary/music. I really hope you do more reggae. As a metalhead I think you definately might like Concrete Jungle by Bob Marley. Basically all of the Catch a Fire album since it was made for the very purpose of introducing his music to the non reggae listeners (of the time when rock music was mainstream). Btw you mentioned being of slavic descent, might I ask from where my fellow slav?

Hey Brother Blake! Man so cool and intriguing to here someone from a metal background listen to Reggae from Bob Marley for the first time. I grew up on Metal, then got into Rnb. But. It was the Reggae of Bob Marley's that had a huge transforming effect on me with it's deep rythyms and beats. Plus the hypnotizing flow mixed with a positive message.... His 4 Albums are Legendary. Natty dread, Exodus, Survival and Uprising. Cool reaction man.

But as someone who grew up in the UK as a white guy who hung around with a lot of people who had Jamaican origin and listened to Bob and Reggae I love you have reacted to it. Reggae is the best music to listen to if you smoke dope. The music was made for it.

Funny you mention an end and a new beginning. The A side of his album is based on a kind of battle between good and evil which is shown in the lyrics and songs. The B side is upbeat and positive relating to a new beginning. He was a rasta and their belief is that they are in a spiritual battle with evil forces. They do base their beliefs on the old testament i believe but dont quote me

I liked how you picked this from the title and get one of the best songs ever. I'm very curious what you're (deep) thoughts would be about some other Marley songs. Bob Marley was of course a lyrical genius. Some said he was like the black Bob Dylan. Author Roger Steffens comment was "I always thought that was the other way around".
