I was strictly a metalhead for most of my life until about 5 years ago I started listening to other stuff & Bob Marley has become one of my favorites. He was from Jamaica btw.

Bob Marley was the first I saw in a true live concert when he came to Milan, in the early 80s ... I loved that concert...

There's a band based in Portland with some Russian members called Chervona. They play some reggae.The Russian singer visits Jamaica periodically.

Two things this world absolutely needs more of..... Bob Marley music and Irina's beautiful smile and twinkling eyes.

Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain........ The list could go on forever, Pink Floyd, Radiohead.... Who was the best singer songwriter??? I know that Bob Marley is top five in that category. Maybe the best ever???? His ease with religious symbolism puts him up there with Dylan and Cohen and even Cobain. Its kinda gospel music. Bob Marley's knack for lyrical hooks and the structure of his compositions reminds me of Cobain and John Lennon. Were talking about the cream of the crop. The best singer songwriter of all time????

Love Marley Reggae music! He was spreading love and a little revolution with his music in Jamaca and worldwide. He lived with many of his wives lol. Sadly, died from fast moving cancer that he discovered when he hurt his toe, and it wouldn't heal.

Actually the cancer was given to him by an undercover CIA agent because they feared he was bringing to much unity among the world.

It's so sad Bob Marley's life was cut short at the age of 36. He refused to get his toe amputated after they discovered a malignant growth under his toenail. It eventually spread to his lungs and brain. Seeing the doctor when something is wrong is important RIP
