Al Anderson is one of my favorite players of all time, but I must say when it comes to Heathen, Junior Marvin always shined so bright. He really had some magic about him. The best shows are often with the 2 of them. Enjoy Steamboat and time with the fam. Truly awesome.

Al wasn’t in the band at that point, so I think it’s a bit unfair. I must admit, Despite me being so obsessed with Bob Marleys music, I didn’t know that junior marvin had joined in 1977, Al in 1974, and Kinsey and smith around 1976. It is a very fair yet odd point that Al & Junior sound good together, both being from different parts of the world. Junior being from the UK and being mostly influenced by blues, while Al being from New Jersey And Influenced By Rock. I’m pretty sure they were both Jamaican though.

I read an article years back about some of Bob’s production crew discussing Bob’s Gibson guitar, they wanted a little more “umph” out of his guitar, so they found some techs who used to work with Jimi Hendrix, and they worked on his pickups to give him that unbelievable clean sound, it really stands out. My favorite Bob song, powerful in all aspects, everyone pitches in…even the crowd. You just don’t hear that anymore!

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great choice, this is a belting gig. The energy in the room, must have been cooking. Oh to be able to say I was there. If only.
Thank you. This is the third Bob Marley video you did. His band were so tight and able to follow his lead without hiccup. They're not often highlighted or given the credit they deserve. And yes the hihat pattern is exquisite. Very easy to hear on Natural Mystic album version. Keep em coming!
Michael! I met you in Steamboat. Great seeing you analyzing Bob Marley; my favorite artist! Ride on!
Thanks man, one of my favourite songs. great channel , cu
Omg... I loooooove you so much. No one has ever broken it down like that. You sure are right on point. Good job. U r great. Love from Kenya
I have so many great reggae tunes I'd love to see you react to and break down! Of course Bob is the greatest of all time though ✊🇯🇲 Have a great trip brother!
I don't know Michael, When I'm laying on a beach in Jamaica, with a Margarita in hand, with White Sandy beaches, beautiful warm blue water, Listening to some Bob Marley, I'm not sure Snow, is the 1st thing that comes to mind, Lol,, "Love ya mike".
The world needs yu Michael
Yes! Been dying for some Reggae! 🤟🏼
Bob Marley.. Reggae Master .. of all times Amen Amen
What a legend!!!!
I appreciate, and sometimes overlooked, the trance aspect of reggae. Much like the sounds from Appalachia. It takes you to a reflective space in your mind.
great; love it; thanks; cheers from france
Really enjoyed this review! Love the enthusiasm and knowledge!
We need a time machine to bring Bob Marley back.
Your love for Bob and your explanation to the powerul arrangements is truly beautiful. God bless you for sharing 🙏❤️
I’m like you bro,I could listen to reggae all day and you have excellent knowledge on reggae in respect to how each instrument should be played one drop drumming, the cymbals(hi hat)the muted bass lines, bubble on the keyboards, sweet and sour harmonies and the crashing cymbals also the stuck lines(guitar mute and play along with the bass) jah bless
Yes, slices reveal the simplicity of the work of genius ... when you think these guys learned with the feel ... raw talent is defined Thanks for picking this song Michael
"RISE UP fallen fighter! Rise and take your stance again." I love the format, enjoy the jam session, keep up the good vibrations! It doesn't get much better than this! ❤️
Lovely reaction
Michael, each vid like this you make is taking me on a little journey though the particular song and helps me discover all the small nuances and things which I haven't discovered before. I like how you break things down and the way your enthousiasm shines through in every comment. Thank you and keep doing you, brother!
Genius...
Thanks! One love.

I was waiting for Michael to talk about the “A-ness” of the music 😂 I love the ghost notes in the middle of the song! It almost sounds like reverb to me!
