as someone who suffered from depression for a long time now, every time I hear the verse "whoever says the world is beautiful hasn't seen what you have created for yourself to stay in it", it gets me in ways I can't even explain. I never felt so understood by some lyrics in my life

I never thought a song from Caparezza could make me cry, but this song did it. I was in my car the first time I heard it, going home from an exhausting day at work. And thought "man wtf did you just do to me?": I have seen him live like 7 times, either from the first row or far away. And it was different every time. He uses props, light-shows, smoke and costumes, and lately also more backup singers and even dancers. And every single person in the crowd would literally scream the lyrics to each song. Dude became bigger :) Shoutout to Diego, the other guy singing! Thank you Ang for your reaction, love watching your journey through music. And love the new arrangement too!! PS: I'm happy you're out of that place you talked about at the beginning. I know what it's like. We're warriors \m/

Caparezza is a stage monster! I had the honor to see him on a concert some years ago and he got everything: carisma, yes, the capacity to capture you completely, but also is always telling a story, a different story with props stage and so on, you want to see all his concert once you see one

Great Job Angelo!! I will attempt to explain two things quickly. Generally Caparezza's albums are thematic, in Prisoner 709 we talk about a prisoner in a jail that eventually escapes, like Ti fa stare bene was the air time of the prisoners, this song is a conversation between the prisoner and a younger self... but unexpectedly at the end it is the young Caparezza speaking to the adult Caparezza to calm him down with the right lightness of children. Don't think too much, work hard but don't overdo it or you'll burn out. The new album talks about Caparezza escaping from prison. Caparezza recently in an interview said precisely "Don't fall too much in love with all things, because many times not all things are right forever, of course we have to fight to defend them and let them go when they are no longer right for us!" A big Hug!!

I like your interpretation of the Caparezza's Lyrics, is better than many Italians ahah. If you like Caparezza and Metal try to listen "Argenti Vive" is really hardcore, the song refer to the Dante's Comedy and Caparezza plays the part of Filippo Argenti one of the sinners of Hell and he literally diss Dante. (there are heavy guitar and double pedal drums)

Hey Ang. I wanna translate what he said at the end. "Thank you! Thank you! This song as many of you know was written by me while speaking to a child, but actually this child doesn't exist anymore becuase it is me, it's me when I was a child and I needed encouragement, and I'm encouraged by the fact that in front of me I see many children happy and smiling how everyone should be in their life; you will do it at this age them you will grow up and...do you wanna come on the stage with me? Are you down for it?"

Ang I suggest you listen to the whole "prisoner 709" album (even on your own), it would give you a better idea of what the song is about. The whole album is the tale of Caparezza's journey of acceptance of his new condition (he started suffering from tinnitus for that moment on). Here in this song, he imagines to be talking to his younger self and reassuring him everything's gonna be ok, that he'll survive even an unexpected turn of events like the one he's currently facing. As always, thanks for spreading the word of Capa Ang! ^^

This song, as some of you may knows, it's been written by me referring to a child, a child that doesn't exist anymore beacause he is me. When i was little and i got the need to be encouraged. (now)I am encouraged by the fact that in front of me there are some child wich are beautifully smiling like it must always be in life. At this age you are smiling, growing up "MM" (it means growing up maybe you will not smile like that anymore, that's the joke) Would you like to come on the stage? Sorry for the bad translation

First off, your singing was great, you have an amazing voice and it was hard to improv a melody to sing as you were reading lyrics that weren't even written for that melody or in that language so kudos to you! And I'd recommend for you to check out "Argenti Vive", a metal rap song in which he impersonates a violent character from the Divine Comedy dissing Dante for writing him in hell and arguing that violence will always oppress poets and intellectual people (obviously giving the opposite message, as this guy is only known through Dante's work).
