This is still one of the most magical pieces of music I've ever heard. It's impossible to get bored of because there's so much substance to it. So happy you're enjoying your IU experience 💜💜💜💜

Its cool that you are going all in with her and you're right -- she's not predictable. Her most recent album was hardly promoted, mostly because it was a project for her -- songs she treasured over years but had not published... stuff that is really nice but wasn't made to be a commercial success. If you get that far, she has so many nice and cool collabs as well, and a bunch of songs with limited views -- but total gems.

This is the song.... 14000 Uaena debut with the same song😂 this year. Loved your reaction. Waiting for more. Above the time is sequal of this song in which girl trapped in the time. The coolest part is that sequel of this song landed on the same date which time machine showed in this mv almost after 10 year of this song.

I have seen this MV many times before, but one thought that came to me this time is that in my life I have eaten a lot of chicken and turkey (actually my favorite, with the stuffing my mother made), and duck a few times, but I have never eaten goose. And not that I think about it, I'm kind of glad about that, for now. 🙂

How hard it must be to lie still with IU's face so close to you and not open your eyes 😅 Also the hand thing she does mimicking the hands of the clock turning back is so iconic. I would call this the second phase in IU's career, after her debut album era where she was really more of a kid still; and this second phase had a lot of very cinematic qualities to it, I always feel like. Like film music, or musicals. Still also a lot of cute elements though, she was about 18 here. Aside from her debut song itself, she had some songs with a very "cute kid" image after that, whereas starting with "Good Day" (which was just before YOU & I) she was more of a young adult. She also started writing some lyrics around this time and even composed one song on this album, though not for the song YOU & I itself. I think "Friday", which came out two years after this, is the first title track she wrote and composed herself, which I would consider a transition towards her third phase which properly started with the album "CHAT-SHIRE" and the title track "Twenty-Three", that was the first time she wrote all the lyrics for the whole album, and composed the music for about half the songs. Since then she has written almost all her own lyrics, for the "Palette", "Love Poem" and "Lilac" albums; and about two years ago, in late 2021, she released her latest mini-album, "Pieces", where for the first time she wrote all the lyrics _and_ composed all the music herself, and even did most of the arrangements. I'm very very curious about her upcoming album, I'm assuming she will once again have written her own lyrics, but I'm curious if she has composed all or most the music again as well, because "Pieces" was a pretty subdued album, and I'm wondering what this album will sound like. But when you say you don't know what to expect from IU, that definitely makes sense because she has definitely had some different periods on her music, and it's a career of 15 years, and it definitely can be surprising when you jump back and forth like you do 😅(that's not a criticism, I think it's fun to jump back and forth through her career, definitely keeps you guessing) Not sure why I decided to dump all this info now haha, maybe other people have already told you most of this stuff, but I guess these "periods" in her career that I'm talking about are also mostly my own interpretation that I made based on how I've heard her sound evolve. Like I said before, I really love her music in recent years a lot, and it makes me happy that the music I love the most is the music she had more control over, I'd say that's a good sign 😊 I am curious btw whether you will agree when I say that "Good Day", "YOU & I", "Every End of the Day", and even "The Red Shoes" (those 4 titles tracks all followed each other) could all be considered part of the same period in her career, musically (what I called the "second phase" lol). I know you've not heard the other three yet, and I'm not sure if you'll get to all of them, but of course I hope you do ("Every End of the Day" is probably my personal favourite out of those, as I mentioned that one has a very long "music video" that's like a 27 minute short film where she plays a fictionalised version of herself, and also includes parts of the song "Peach"; the official version doesn't have English subtitles but there is a fan-subbed version here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/poOuxtN6nZXdaKQ.html I understand if you don't have time to get to that one though, but I hope you can 😊)

I agree, like even the differences from her debut to this song, I dont think anyone couldve guessed that, I think I will be checking out these four tracks and see if I agree with you, the second phase LOL! its like a Marvel movie, I think that jumping around is kinda fun, the truth of it is generally for the sake of things, I try to keep the popular stuff from going out all at once just so that it helps out the smaller less known videos.
