1:03:21 Btw, my perspective on cost caps has evolved since we recorded this and I'm more ok with cost caps, especially for super cost-conscious brands (which are probably most people reading this). I still think ad sets that don't spend don't allow for sufficient learning, so it's important to see an ad actually fail with some spend to know how bad it is.

I run a business and we've done all referral marketing to date... I think I'm honestly afraid to run paid ads. I think this is the video I needed. I’m a founder of a bike racing event company. I’ve been using Canva pro to build ‘eye catching’ templates for my facebook ad manager. I think I need to compare my polished ads and ugly ads, it’s weird I do a lot of talking to the camera about trail building but I’ve never thought of using those in ads. Thanks so much for this!

Jst FYI. The girl at 1:26:51 could be in perimenopause. That starts in the 30s. I do a lot of work with HRT (hormone replacement therapy) companies.

This interview was so very good. I kind of disagree about the "seeing the stuff being less polished." There are a few ladies who are doing really polished stuff over on TikTok and people are loving it because of the aesthetic. Emily Mariko and Nara Smith come to mind. People rather do this ugly stuff because they're lazy and that is just not acceptable in my opinion. I rather have nice stuff. UGC content is popular though but I like nicely produced things.
