He started off really good, and then things got tough. Zlatan's talent og abilities were not the reason for it. As a striker he's good enough to walk into any team. Perhaps at the age of 35 it's slightly different, but back then he was even faster than he is now. He was world class. He has been for a very long time and when hearing about it itæs obvious that he had a dispute with Guardiola. We all know the Barcelona-time didn't turn otu to be what everybody thought it would be, but his abilities in football were not the reason for it.

Bothmadh but he's way smarter now. You can utilize him in any position and he'll slay. He was in all striker mode back then, dribbling everyone and scoring goals. Now, he dribbles everyone, create chances, assists, make plays, and score goals. If he's the same now like he is back then, he'd be prone to injury.

You can see ibra was having horrendous day and had immense pressure on him. The penalty gift by messi really let his pressure release. Messis cares for his teammates despite having such ability it's rare to find and that's why he's the goat and inspiration, a role model for all.

Not only is Messi the greatest player of all time, but he might be the greatest teammate as well. Put Ronaldo in Messi's position and he probably throws a tantrum at Ibra and then takes the penalty for himself.

Sometimes you need a bit of time, especially if you've lost a final for the third time in a row (in the World Cup and Copa 2015 final he stayed with his teammates). Your comparision is incorrect anyway. You can't compare a lost final to the attitude you have to your teammates during games. Messi might have had 3 moments or so where he got frustrated at his teammates. He didn't even get frustrated when his teammates made bad decisions in the World Cup and Copa matches (including finals). For example in the last Copa final, Messi dribbled between 9 players and passed to Aguero. He continued his run for a one-two and he also created space for Mercado, who was completely unmarked. Aguero didn't pass back or pass to Mercado, he tried to score from distance and messed up a great chance. Messi didn't even scream at him etc. Ronaldo shows it more often, whether in Madrid or in Portugal.

Thing is, it wasn't even the best he's scored. The goal against Atletic Bilbao in the Copa Del Rey final was incredible. The goal he scored against Getafe when he was like 17 was out of this world. Thing with Messi is.... he could score all kinds of amazing goals. Mazy dribbles, top corner rockets, dinked lobs over the keeper, curler freekicks. He had everything.

Issues with Guardiola? You can clearly see Guardiola cheering him on even as he misses chance after chance and refusing to sub him off as he knows that would hurt Zlatan's confidence. The issues thing was just an excuse he made up to cover up for the fact that he got outplayed and overshadowed by Messi in each and every game! Messi was incredible in this game, so fucking quick on his feet. I've read Ibras book and he says that he had a difficult time at barcelona. His relationship to Pep was very bad, especially towards the end and alltough he was scoring goals, Guardiola converted him to a kind of false 9 or number 10 with messi playing in front of him at striker. Thats why he said 'you don't buy a ferrari if you wanna drive it like a fiat'. Ibra and messi in one team at that time was just not meant to work out. Messi was just unbelievable and the whole barca team played for him.

Like that game for PSG where he had an equally frustrating game and got a freekick just outside the penalty box and kicked it with every muscle fiber in his horse of a leg in the top right corner. If it would have been blocked, then that person would have ended up in the hospital for a day xD It was either the ball or a player in the goal.

Zlatan was good and had quite a lot goals for Barca but he missed a lot too.

A players feelings and personal state can really affect his performance on the field, and u can clearly see that Zlatan feels like shit in this video... Joga Bonito I would argue that the main reason for Torres was because he was injured. Chelsea knew he was injured and were taking a risk. But I would also say that Torres is doing very well in athletic.

ibrahimovic was just unlucky to have to be playing with messi at his goalscoring peak years, if he played with the current messi and neymar, he would have more success. and he was so unlucky with winning the champions league, joining barca a year after they won the cl, and leaving before they won another. And he left inter for barca and inter won the cl. If he had just stayed with either inter or barca for 1 more year he would've finally gotten the cl.

***** He is scoring alot that's for sure but the season has not ended yet so none of us actually know how this season compares to his best season but his best calendar year tally was 91 or 92, which is almost double of his 51 goals in 2016. I think he has a great goal per game record this season, but he did miss quite a few games, which will probably show in his season's goal per game record. In terms of league goals, he isnt even close to his record, he is not even the top in the european golden boot award.
