Lionel Andrés Messi (born 24 June 1987), also known as Leo Messi, is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and captains the Argentina national team. He went to Spain when he was 13. He only debuted with the Argentina Under 20 National Team in a friendly against Paraguay in late June 2004. The match ended 8-0 and he scored a GOLAZO in the 80 minute mark. It was a sign of things to come!

It is not very far. it will be different once Messi and Ronaldo retire. Messi may not linger around since he is a quiet soul and wants to enjoy family life.. Ronaldo enjoys attention and he may explore options , may end up as a manager.
His ability to predict and avoid the opponent's next move, to be one step ahead of everyone, his speed, his ability to change direction in a blink of an eye, which makes opponents lose the balance and fall on the ground, are simply insane. THIS is a genius.
I never tire of watching this man’s brilliance. He is pure joy to see.

One of the best. He is a master dribbler and those goals are more flashy. But the technique that you need to control a ball with your knee, at full speed, and have the ball stay in position to shoot is really, really hard to acquire. So yeah, great goal.

After controlling the ball with his knee he knew that if he let the ball bounce on the ground without touching it, the defender would have a chance to close the gap and end the play there, but Messi touched the ball forward before it hit the ground, putting it out of reach of the defender. You can see the Nigerian ready to pounce but with that second touch, he had to changed his stride and pick up the pace. But it was too little too late.
2:41 is my favorite one. The Betis's goalie expression's summing up the "you thought you've seen it all" comment made by the commentator
5:17 underrated goal harder than it looks. He has like 3 steps of acceleration.
All the years i watched him plays. It wasn't just about his goals and hia assist. The general feeling the gave the fans with his play. He always did something new something different something magical and unexpected.
