There have been many great goal scorers in football history, though arguably Ronaldo is among the best especially given his longevity. But Messi is one of a kind. Pele and Maradona come in close, but again, neither of them had the longevity Messi has. And what makes him even more special is his humility. If anyone could boast about his achievements, that would be him. Yet he never points to himself. This is because nobody understands better than him that at the end of the day, it's 11 against 11. His goal is never personal. It's always for the team to win. That is what makes him truly great.

Agreed. Im a semi pro, I cant hold a candle to a professional, even MLS level. Dribbling is the hardest part of the game, IMHO. To dribble an entire professional european team almost on a weekly basis is something we may never see again.

Maradona won a world cup on his own, in a very poor Argentina team. Maradona also won the league title with Napoli, a mid to bottom table side, in the strongest league in the world at the time, in an era where Italian football showcased the greatest defences of all time. Kroff literalmente creó el fútbol moderno. Ronaldihno es, con mucho, el jugador de fútbol más talentoso de todos los tiempos, es el único jugador que vi que hacía que otros jugadores parecieran niños a su alrededor, tenga en cuenta que entrenaba muy poco y estaba de fiesta todo el tiempo, y nunca se tomó el fútbol en serio. Apart from skill n talent you need to work very hard to make your brain function like that.. It's not all god gifted..Maybe the dribbling abit but not all.. You need to train very hard day in day out so that your body your brain is at a habit of doing the same thing consistently which makes it look very easy but it's not.. Sports are as much as a psychological sport then it is as a physical sport.. N leo seems to have mastered the sport psychologically..This way combined with his strong physical strength he's able to do things which are almost next to impossible for common ppl to do on a regular basis so consistently.. Messi's physical appearance is an advantage for his way of playing. He has a very low center of gravity which helps him turn and run with the ball faster. It's harder to dribble like he does if you are taller.

Christiano was never in Leo’s shadow, they had one of the greatest rivalries in football history with each one trying to out preform the other and succeeding until the other comes back with something else. The saddest thing is messi evolved his game to be more of a provider and not caring too much if he scores while cr7 still trying to score goals at his age. He’s ruining his legacy.
