Hey there! So far its been pretty good, I've already used it on one road trip to AZ already and it didn't have an issue w my GPS or music for the whole trip. Compared to the previous one (Mediatek processors I believe with less RAM), this one runs a lot better, almost no lag. The other one was ok, but it had its moments. The one issue I'm still trying to resolve is that the volume doesn't go high enough. Like its fine, but I know it should go louder when I wanna blast the music. My radio and SD card still go to the highest volume, but not the android for whatever reason. I'm going to contact AVIN about it, probably a setting somewhere, as my last unit did this without a problem. Good luck with all of the maintenance! And I'm Sri Lankan haha

All I can think is that either the harness isnt connected properly (don't think thats likely as the screen probably wouldnt turn on at all if the harness wasnt connected well) or that the android is trying to connect to the wrong NTG system. Does ur sound work through the android? If so, you may need to dive into the android settings and see what NTG its set to work with. If you have a facelift W204 like me (2012+) then you'll have to select NTG4.5 or NTG 4.7. Prefacelift I believe is NTG 4.0 (2008-2011). If your sound doesnt work at all, then see if pressing the "ON" button on the car's original button panel makes a difference. I know that might sound silly but I've forgotten to do that a few times lol

Hi I have neither an AUX nor a media port in my W204 facelift. How can I still install this radio or can I install the AUX? Aux or similar is not displayed as an option on the radio either...

So nothing in the glovebox or center console? That is very odd, they should all have some form of aux whether its just a media port or an aux cable

Mine doesn't either. But the sound comes through the connecting cables, however you will have to enable the AUX input from the engineering menu of the Command.

Hey Everyone, So About a month ago I got an Installed the 12.3" Android Screen From DMP Design, I did the Full Install myself and everything went smooth and fine at first except I heard a buzzing noise in the background, so I bought a Ground Loop Isolator off Amazon and that took care of my problem completely, but here about 1 week I've noticed that when listening to my Samsung S10+ , or My iPhone 7Plus, using my audio, Spotify, or Pandora the quality of the Audio seems kinda distorted and I cannot figure out why for the life of me!!! I haven't changed any settings at all. I don't have Bass up crazy, I can put my ear down to door speaker and up to tweeter and its deff distorted badly. but call me crazy, it seems to come and go sometimes I travel it seems fine, but most times it sounds bad to my ears, Others may not notice as badly as I do, But I can hear clear as day. It's only when I use android auto , or apple auto connect. if I connect the mobile hotspot and use my data from phone and connect Spotify, pandora, my music, It's perfect sound, so I'm so confused. Does anyone out here have any ideas as to why or what could be causing this problem??? Thanks, I haven't checked the factory settings on the Screen settings yet. when I switch back to factory radio and CD audio it sounds Fine too. only Android Auto/Apple Auto, which is how I normally connect mostly it seems easiest to do. 2014 W204 C300

Hey James! Thanks for ur input, always good to hear other peoples experiences. From what you describe, the issue must have something to do with the connection between your phone (Samsung or iPhone) and the Android screen. Does your Android Screen have built in CarPlay/Android Auto, or do you use a Carlinkit external USB dongle like me? With the dongle I personally haven't had any sound issues with CarPlay, although Android Auto can be finicky sometimes with the aspect ratio. If you have the external dongle you can update the firmware of both the app and the dongle, and they do update them pretty frequently so that can help bugs a lot of the time from my uses with them over the last couple years. If its built in I honestly don't have an answer as all of my Android screens haven't had that, seems to be a newer feature. Keep us updated!

Ordered it buddy but thank you. Realised it was missing when I went through the cables and connections and figured it all out, not the best when it comes to electrical fitment. Wheels on the other hand, they are my speciality, spend 40+hrs a week fixing idiots mistakes lol

@@NiallJones1986 At around 20:00 I show what I did, which was run the aux cable below all the center trim pieces. I showed how to remove those pieces earlier in the video. You then may have to drill a small hole in the center console wall to sneak the cable through. Overall very unobtrusive, and no wires showing anywhere

Not sure why you're having these issues assuming everything is connected properly. For the camera you may have to go into the Android settings to select the factory backup camera option
